More Pacifist Moonbattery from Obama (Update: O’Bambi!)

Via the Power Line blog, a frightening display of Pacifist Moonbattery from Obama.

I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems…

…I will not weaponize space…

…I will slow development of future combat systems…

…and I will institute a “Defense Priorities Board” to ensure the quadrennial defense review is not used to justify unnecessary spending…

…I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons…

…and to seek that goal, I will not develop nuclear weapons…

…I will seek a global ban on the development of fissile material…

…and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBMs off hair-trigger alert…

…and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals…

…and if anyone so much as looks at us funny…

…I WILL JUST SURRENDER!

(Okay, so I took the liberty of adding those last two on… but isn’t that the gist of his military philosophy?)

UPDATE:  28 February, Confederate Yankee discusses this video and dubs him O’Bambi.  !

If Hussein is elected…the U.S. will no longer be…THE u.s.

Of course, he may say whatever he wishes, and the children and America haters may vote him in, but that doesn’t mean that he will accomplish the insanity he proposes. That said, the man can do damage enough without reaching any of these goals.

Salty…we had better clean our weapons…the second civil war, may be just down the road a bit.

My weapons are always clean and my powder dry.

Perhaps this is a good place to acquaint (or reacquaint) our readers with a quote from Patrick Henry’s famous “give me liberty or give me death” speech. While the speech, with few changes, is just as relevant today as it was in 1775, this paragraph struck me as significant for today:

“Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation? For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it.”

Exactly, salty. If we elect President Barack Obendover, we might as well lie down and die.

  8. yojimbo Says:

From the above, what does he consider a “necessary weapons system”?

If he would serve all eight years that would put a new President into office in 2017. That is about the time when most military experts predict that the Chinese military will be ready to rock and roll.

  9. tizona Says:

    Yojimbo

what does he consider a “necessary weapons system”?

In the spirit of Kum Ba Yah…ALL of them.

The entire world, will be dancing to Harry Belafonte calypso tunes. What joyous times, lie ahead.

The top three quotes relate directly to “Star Wars” for those of you playing the home version.

    William F. Buckley has died.
