I’ve just about finished up with a v. busy day so I logged on to Andrew Bolt’s blog to see what’s what in the world, and am having a real “WTF?” moment over this comment in response to an article entitled “There go more Obama voters.”
AB’s entire post consists of just 2 short lines:
“Now Barack Obama’s mentor, advisor and pastor goes after Israel.
How on earth did Obama not see through this bum?”
And here is the reasoned response from someone calling himself or herself “Proud Aussie” :
Now granted, 3:27pm in Melbourne is just 4:27 in the morning in London, so maybe our “Proud Aussie” had just had a really big night and was still unwinding…
But, WTF?

There really isn’t any point in reading any further than that.
Interestingly (Or not), I’ve actually heard many leftards espouse this line of ~scarequotes~ thought ~/scarequotes~ before, going all the way back to the Clinton administration. They actually believe if the object of our ridicule is gone, that we won’t have anything left to talk about… as if lefties don’t always embarrass us with overabundant richness of source material.

Or that a block of Democrats including former Klansman Robert Byrd, Tennessee’s Al Gore Sr and 21 other Senate Democrats, tried to kill the Civil Rights Act.
Or that in 1960, Mississippi Democratic Gov. Hugh White had requested Christian evangelist Billy Graham segregate his events, something Graham refused to do, or that when South Carolina Democratic Gov. George Timmerman learned Billy Graham had invited African Americans to a Reformation Rally at the state Capitol, he promptly denied use of the facilities to the evangelist.
Or that Condi Rice recalls why her father became a Republican rather than a Democrat thusly:
“The first Republican I knew was my father, and he is still the Republican I most admire. He joined our party because the Democrats in Jim Crow Alabama of 1952 would not register him to vote. The Republicans did. My father has never forgotten that day, and neither have I.”
Oh there’s plenty of racism in America’s past, all right, heaps of it; and the Democrats are past masters at it.

#14 A mate of mine over here, is black, from Mississippi (ha! got the spelling first time, no shit) and… republican. And studied political science. He was the one who first surprised my naive soul that most KK to da K members were originally Democrats, NOT Republicans. Odd (read: despicable) that the Left constantly tries to rewrite their history. Of course, that goes for their interpretation of Nazis, too.
But don’t bag Al Gore’s dad. He was a saint compared to what we have now.
