Another Barack Obama earmark turns up in the news. For a candidate who has made earmark reform an obsession, John McCain hasn’t done much to point out some of Obama’s more embarrassing and egregious earmarks. They do seem to be a powerful example of Old Politics.
The failure to get sanctions passed for Zimbabwe is instructive. And will we have any more luck imposing them on Iran? (After the bribe-athon finally ends, that is.)
More evidence of China’s disdain for human rights (and support for Gordon’s argument).
An articulate minority woman who can explain why capitalism works and is passionate about freedom. But alas, she was not born in the U.S. and therefore can’t make the VP list.
Michelle Obama buying $600 earings? (Sounds like something Nancy Reagan would have gotten bashed for.) Surprised she didn’t put it toward ritzy summer camps. Hey, the lady’s rich, and she should spend her money any way she wants. (But spare us the whining.)
I don’t understand the purpose of Obama publicly insulting Afghan President Hamid Karzai. Maybe it’s part of his effort to demonstrate he won’t be a shoot-from-the hip cowboy who damages our international relationships.
Only the New York Times would point out that Obama speaks no foreign language but ridicule Mitt Romney for speaking French. Funny how they thought it was trés distingué that John Kerry spoke French.
I’m beginning to think John McCain wants to be buried in an avalanche, by Snowbama. If McCain wants to become our President…he had better start laying the wood to the Messiah. Obama isn’t going to win this, it is being handed to to him, BY McCain.
Get off your ass McCain. Get your entire staff off its ass, McCain.
Didn’t doofus Obama, just get through making a speech about Americans learning a second language?
Why yes he did….
“This is an example of some of the problems we get into when somebody attacks you for saying the truth, which is: We should want our children with more knowledge. We should want our children to have more skills,” he said. “I know, because I don’t speak a foreign language. It’s embarrassing,” Obama said, chuckling.
Chuckling?
Get it together, McCain….and ye best start NOW.

How can we get McCain to rouse himself? Is it his campaign staff, his advisors? Or is the man really too old? I’m really starting to worry here.

We all (those of sane mind) should be concerned. I truly believe McCain’s staff and advisers are waiting for Obama to make a crushing mistake. Obama has made several but no immediate heavy hit counter.
This I think is due to the slickness of the Obama camp indicating that any attack based on the merit of fact, or facts will be and is considered racist, putting the burden on the McCain camp to counter a false argument, instead of keeping on message.
This plus the MSM being the Dallas Cowboy Cheeleaders for Obama, relegating any McCain counter…to page 73 doesn’t help.

There’s no problem with speaking a second language. There’s no problem with not speaking a second language. There is however, a problem with not being able to speak English if it’s the language of the country you’re living in, or not being able to speak Spanish if you’re living in Spain, or Russian if you’re living in Russia.
