When Denied A Chance to Turn Wounded Troops Into A Photo Op, Obama Declined to Meet with Them at All
Why did Barack Obama cancel his visit to see wounded U.S. soldiers yesterday at Landstuhl Medical Center in Ramstein, Germany?
According to the Politico and the Chicago Sun-Times, the Obama campaign is blaming the military, claiming that the Obama campaign was told the visit “would look too political.”
But according to MSNBC, Obama and his Senate staff could have visited wounded troops; he simply couldn’t bring along his campaign staff and the media.
The campaign’s response? They withdrew the request to visit the troops.
If he can’t use them as props, it seems Barack Obama has little use for the military.

UPDATE: It’s not just that he blew off the wounded soldiers because he couldn’t bring his campaign entourage, so instead went shopping in Berlin and had a nice workout; it’s that his campaign lied (and is still lying) about it. Way to throw our military under the bus, Obama.

I can see Kevin pulling a stunt like that, too. Whereas when Condi Rice was here yesterday, she took time out to personally thank our SAS boys and personally give her condolences to the some of the families of boys we’ve lost in Afghanistan. Didn’t see that on The 7:30 Report or Lateline? That’s because she wasn’t looking for a cheap photo op, wasn’t using them as props. That’s one classy lady.

If the Left were even half-right about the Right being war-mongers, cameras would have been everywhere and she would have milked it for them. But they’re wrong, and Rice has class.

There is nothing outside this blokes drive for the top job. Anything that isnt an immediate plus to his campaign is aborted.

Unfortunately, Barack Hussein Obama is not ashamed of himself. This person is a complete fraud, not only is he unfit for the office of President, he is unfit to sit in the Senate.
Ask Jesse Jackson. Jackson, no saint, was next to Martin Luther King, the day he was killed. MLK spoke of “content of character”, Spot’s post and Obama’s crassness proves he has no content, it also proves, he has no character.

Tiz, did you see my comment to Ash about some of the things Condi Rice got up to here in Perth yesterday? Well your comment got me thinking. Not only didn’t she use our SAS boys and the families of our deceased veterans to whom she took the time to speak personally (and privately), as “props,” thus ensuring that no MSM outlet would pick up on it… She’s BLACK! And a WOMAN!
Good grief; why is no-one making a Big Deal about this person who is not only Melanin-enhanced, but Ovary-enhanced, making such thoughtful, touching, personal gestures? Oh, yeah. It’s ’cause she didn’t call huge press conferences for either her appearance at Campbell Barracks or for her wreath-laying at King’s Park…
That, and Republicans have been appointing blacks and women to high-powered government roles for so long, that it’s not really a novelty anymore.
I wish she would consider running for POTUS, but I know she won’t. Which is a shame. She is The Anti-Obama.

I’d be proud to vote for Condi for Prez.
I remember a picture of her staring down Putin. It was great. Her hard-ass expression said out loud, “Yeah, talk all you want Vlad, but you try anything and you’ll need one-million sunblock.” LOL!
