Seems like a blatant rip-off to me.
Same melody, same chord progression, same key, and same tempo. Whisky Tango Foxtrot?!

They’re too similar to just be a coincidence.
I think Coldplay’s originality (if it can be called that) ended when Chris Martin and Gwenyth Paltrow named their kids Apple and Moses.
