    I worked for FEMA and have been to the Region VI HQ. Quite a facility. Built during the Johnson administration at the height of the Cold War, most of it is underground and designed to survive a nuclear attack. The above ground part of it is actually designed to shear off during a nuclear blast.

    I could tell you more, but then I’d have to kill you. LOL!

      Mmmmmmm… love bites. Sounds like fun.

      Er, where was I? Oh yeah, Im not sure, but Response and Recovery exercises of various types will be involved: Deployment of HazMat teams and triage units &c.

      Don’t think there will be any air raid sirens though, so earplugs might not really be needed. ;-)

    Oh, yays, another NLE. The one last year was a freakin’ joke, and while the TOPOFF exercises had some usefulness (mostly for the response teams, not the politicians), there was enough a$$hattery to detract from that.

    The good news is, Ive heard nothing about NLE ‘09 at work, so we’re not involved with it this go around.
