Lobely Lefties

I posted this at my own personal site yesterday, but since no one else is posting here, I thought it’d be worth a run.

This was first brought to general attention yesterday. It’s about halfway down the page. LOBES!!! After further research, it is clear there definitely IS something between Leftards and their ears. It is clear that there IS more to it than the well-known Lefty head tilt. Photo analysis proves this to be true. That’s NSW Green Party would-be senator Lee Rhiannon. Her parents were commies. However, Reds under the beds with lobes like robes is not by any means a one-off phenomenon. More photographic evidence under the fold.

Jihad against the Jihad

Andrew Bolt noted today that there are many “home-grown” radical Islamist terrorists being discovered in the US nowadays. Whilst being born and even “bred” in the US, they are still following the fundamentalist hardline Islamic doctrine so fondly declared to by the likes of Osama bin Laden.

Here’s what I said there and will disseminate here also:

Yes it is true “that finally the ideology of radical Islam is effectively reaching into the United States to disaffected people here over the Internet.”

And much of that is on YouTube.

However, before blaming YouTube too much, which is such a valuable resource in so many other ways, why not visit YouTube Smackdown which is a site dedicated to flagging and removing terrorist videos from YouTube.

It really is up to us. Don’t rely on the government or corporations to do what we as citizens should be doing.

The link is always at the top of this blog. Hey, sure, probably no one bothers with it every day, but it’s worth a click once in a while.

Just for the record, they do link to videos out there right now on YouTube that people are watching… many of them our own home grown…

Operation YouTube Smackdown, anecdotally, has been very successful since it started. Much harder to find videos not already taken down, and there’s not a whole left out there. But the FBI has noticed “In the last six to nine months, the FBI has seen more domestic Islamist extremist activity than at any time since immediately right after 9/11.”

And stuff like the following is still out there as of now.

Drunk Aussie and the crocodile

First the story. A chap decided to get himself thoroughly refreshed at the local tavern, not far from the crocodile farm.

For a rather vague reason he then decided to climb the fence then try and get on a 5m long crocs back.

G'day mate...

Croc got a little grumpy and gave the blokes leg a bit of a nibble.

What kind of man could perform such a deed?

Heres a few more facts.

A MAN whose leg was bitten by a five-metre crocodile called Fatso after he climbed into its pen says he wanted to play with it and feel its skin.

Mr Newman, who was dubbed Crocodile Dumb-dee in The West Australian newspaper on Wednesday, had earlier been turfed out of a Broome tavern for being drunk.

He made his way back to the tavern after the attack and even had a beer before being taken to hospital.

Now a confession.

I too have been massively refreshed at the same pub a few years back, I wasnt kicked out but wobbled out at closing time.

I was staying at a resort nearby, and the walk took me around the back of the crocodile farm, part the way around I decided to sit down for a rest and dozed off….

I woke the next morning with a blue heeler licking my face through the fence, If Id wobbled another dozen of so meters It would have been a croc having a lick…..

Not my finest hour…

Pubs and croc farms should be well separated.

Julia Gillard running from refugees

Back when I was working in Port Hedland IRPC (immigration reception and processing centre) we had a “secret” visit by a party of pollies come to have a look around.

It had been kept extremely quiet, none of the operational staff or detainees knew it was on until after they arrived, The idea was to minimise the usual incidents and trouble that had occurred on nearly every other similar visit.

The date was 24/4/02, from memory the pollies visited at around 10-11 in the morning.

In addition to Ms Gillard the other pollies I remember were senator Eggleston and Senator McKiernan, there were about 6 or so all up.

I was escorting a plumber in one of the residential blocks when all of a sudden most of the men in the Block began to rush outside, some with banners. I radioed the control room  and asked “is anything going on, all the blokes are rushing out of the block?”.

control responded by calling for the gates to the volleyball yard to be locked immediately, which kept the vast majority of the detainees away from the pollies party.

What had happened was the centre managers, DIMIA and the pollies went to the 2 family blocks, hoping for a quiet Q&A session with the people there. One of the families sent a kid off to rouse the rest of the centre to what was going on, fortunately the gates were shut in time.

However by the time I had dropped off my contractor and returned to the compound the visiting party were being chased out of the family blocks they had come to visit with a number of the families pursuing them and throwing abuse.

I was called back to the control room shortly after to attend to a detainee who had been placed in a separation room after threatening self harm. Ms Gillard was in full flight demanding to know what was going on and obviously getting quite offended as the officers ignored her as we tried to restore calm to the riot which had kicked off.

(When she was at Port she had bloody near orange hair)

The pollies left the centre a short time later, and it isnt flattering but my impression of Julia was that she was a striking woman, but with a deep need to be in control, even with things she knew nothing about.

I wonder a little if her “tough on refugees” isnt a little tinged by her being humiliated that day?

The Lenny Kravitz Coffee Mug

Sometime around 1986, Lenny – then calling himself Romeo Blue – came over to my apartment early in the morning on the way to a recording session with my roommate (Then a drummer, now an Apple consultant). He left this mug behind, and sensing he was destined for fame, I decided to keep it around.

This may have in fact been Lisa Bonet’s mug, as they were dating at the time, but I’m not sure about that.

Hard to believe it’s been about 25 years!
