Darwin, its like that.

Ive been to Darwin a few of times, its bit rough in patches.

But a cabbie knocking back a “free ride”, she must have been rough.

From the NT news… Possibly the best punning headling of the year,

Cabby says no to a fare with woman

The 26-year-old lady approached the taxi outside the Parap Tavern around 10.45pm on Boxing Day.

She got into the taxi and asked the male driver, “Do you want to have sex?”

Im pretty sure it wasnt worded quite that way..

The taxi driver who requested only his first name be printed refused the lady’s advances.

“I told her no I’m not interested,” Dean said.

“She then asked me for a cigarette. I said no I’m not giving you any cigarettes and please get out of my car.”

So its a smoke for a poke, and 2 for a screw, whats a whole packet get you?

The lady began swearing, slammed the passenger door and started kicking the cab.

Dean said the lady then picked up a bottle and threw it at the taxi smashing the rear passenger window. Police arrested the lady a short time later.

“It would appear that she was a bit amorous at that time of the evening,” Duty Superintendent Daniel Shean said.

Gotta love the territory coppers..

“If you saw the girl you’d have to be pretty desperate. She was a very big fat ugly woman, she got in the car and stunk it out,” the taxi driver said.

This song  Definitely NSFW

Ugly AND stinky, sounds like Darwin allright.

And how does old Charlie feel about the city named after him??

Charles recants his theory of evolution based on this story alone.

The Pathological dishonesty of the left

Lets start with the headline shall we?

Armed Christians and Muslims clash after Nigeria killings

Gee looks like both sides are hammering each other there eh?

Maybe the sub heading contains more info?

Pastor and five others shot in raids on churches while explosions 300 miles away claim 32 victims

Now If I were a casual reader Id assume the “pastor and 5 others” are the Christian casualties and the  explosions were muslim, otherwise the headline is deceptive right?

Clashes broke out between armed Christian and Muslim groups near the central Nigerian city of Jos yesterday after Christmas Eve bombings in the region killed more than 30 people.

Strange, Christians bombing at Christmas time…?

The tensions are rooted in decades of resentment between indigenous groups, mostly Christian or animist, who are vying for control of fertile farmlands and for economic and political power with mostly Muslim migrants and settlers from the north.

Such a deliberate use of passive words, “migrants”, “settlers”, Still they must all be the same because they are all black, right Mr Guardian writer? If it was ANY white nationality “who are vying for control of fertile farmlands and for economic and political power with mostly white migrants and settlers from the north.” the Guardian would be calling it an invasion and colonialism.

Heres a hint Mr Guardian man, Not all “darkies” are the same, much the same as not all “whities”, “Slant eyes”, or “Curry munchers”.

Your soft racism is nothing of the sort, its just as vile as a neo-nazi knucklehead or KKK man, just expressed in neutral language.

In the north of the country, dozens of armed men attacked a church on Christmas Eve, dragging the pastor out of his home and shooting him dead along with two young choristers rehearsing for a late-night carol service.

“dozens of armed men”, any clue on what motivated this execution of a religious man? If the old South African regime had hauled out Desmond Tutu and shot him dead would they just have been “dozens of armed men” with nothing more said?

The group of about 30 attackers armed with guns and knives also killed two people who were passing by the Victory Baptist church in Maiduguri.

Ahhh, this must be the christian mob….

The assailants left after torching the church and pastor’s house.

Oh, maybe not….

Still Im sure there is some Christian violence mentioned, or the headline is a farce, surely?

At the other end of the city, Reverend Haskanda Jessu of the Church of Christ in Nigeria said three men attacked his church, killing a 60-year-old security guard.

Oh ok then….

Read the whole article at the top link, there is NOTHING like a clash, instead there is one group being repeatedly attacked by another, but in the world of a Guardian writer there is no identifying characteristic of the attacking group… Madness.

A google search with the terms Nigeria Christians attack, comes up with pages of attacks on Christians there, What group could possibly be involved?

PFC Bradley Manning, heres the torture..

As has been reported on many news sites PFC Bradley Manning is apparently so mistreated the UN is going to investigate. ( Id sleep with my bum to the door if I were him, the UN has a certain…reputation)

From the link: “THE UN HAS CONFIRMED it is investigating complaints made by supporters of detained US army soldier Bradley Manning, suspected of supplying confidential US files and military information to WikilLeaks.”

Now Ive run across an interesting website run by an ex-military man now lawyer who specialises in court martial cases. Hes also currently defending Mr Manning. David E. Coombs is his name, and he has a blog of his own.

He has written a piece on his blog which clearly outlines how PFC Manning is treated, and how his day unfolds. Its matter of fact and fairly banal, Mannings biggest hassle will be boredom.

Heres a couple of sections, but please go across and have a look at the full thing.

His cell is approximately six feet wide and twelve feet in length.

The cell has a bed, a drinking fountain, and a toilet.

The guards at the confinement facility are professional. At no time have they tried to bully, harass, or embarrass PFC Manning. Given the nature of their job, however, they do not engage in conversation with PFC Manning.
…..

He is allowed to watch television during the day. The television stations are limited to the basic local stations. His access to the television ranges from 1 to 3 hours on weekdays to 3 to 6 hours on weekends.
……

He is allowed to have any combination of up to 15 books or magazines. He must request the book or magazine by name. Once the book or magazine has been reviewed by the literary board at the confinement facility, and approved, he is allowed to have someone on his approved list send it to him. The person sending the book or magazine to him must do so through a publisher or an approved distributor such as Amazon. They are not allowed to mail the book or magazine directly to PFC Manning.
…..

He is not allowed to have a pillow or sheets. However, he is given access to two blankets and has recently been given a new mattress that has a built-in pillow.
…..

When PFC Manning goes to sleep, he is required to strip down to his boxer shorts and surrender his clothing to the guards. His clothing is returned to him the next morning

…..

So as you can see his daily routine is banal, and boring, but torture??

The Lawyers blog has been infested by shrieking moonbats of the most fantastic varieties, the comments section is a hoot.  Some highlights under the fold…

The SIEV 221

221. That’s the number of known Suspected Illegal Entry Vehicles that have entered Australian waters in the last decade or so.

More prescient, is the number we’ve had in the last couple of years, however. Of that 221 boats, 164 or just under 75% have arrived since 2008. That is, 75% of those boats have arrived since the Labor government took power and relaxed our previously tough yet effective illegal immigration laws. All told, we’re looking at 7850 people since 2008 and around 200-220 (that we know of) dead – drowned at sea.

That’s almost three percent dead or about one death for every boat.

In a thinly-veiled allusion to racism, some have argued that this isn’t a problem and that those who criticize the latest policy shift are purely anti-immigration, full stop. That is, why don’t we want these people?

However, such an argument completely misses the point.

One policy that has not changed is that Australia accepts about 13,000-14,000 refugees per year. The government may have changed in the last few years, but essentially our refugee intake numbers haven’t.

No one of importance has any issue with that yearly intake of around 13,500 refugees.

But take the 5609 boat people Australia accepted in the year 2009-2010. What that number really means is that of the 13,500 refugees accepted, 5609 going through the proper UNHCR process were denied their opportunity to start a new life in Australia.

In other words, in one year, near on 42% of people going through the proper process trying to get to Australia were denied their chance because of the people on the SIEVs.

Remembering the thousands who are being denied, remembering the average of one death per SIEV, just how, in what way, shape or form, is the GillRudd government’s policy (or lack there of) “humanitarian”?

How do critics justify that the previous government had an inhumane policy? How is the current policy better when we have people dying or at best, being denied?

There are currently 5500 people in detention, up from almost nil when the GillRudd government took power. They are largely undocumented people as opposed to 5500 fully documented people we could have had contributing to our society but who are stuck, effectively being punished for doing the right thing whilst a blatant disregard of our laws and therefore a lack of respect for our country is being rewarded.

The Left must admit they have this one so very, very wrong. They need to stop blaming the navy trying desperately to find what are effectively matchsticks in a vast, vast ocean and instead, look in the mirror.

For our Golden Girl

Not quite the perfect song, but good enough I hope.

GG 1: Cancer 0

FTW!

Hmmm, was gonna do the original Celebration song but have a funny feeling GG might like this one…

bad at math?

a real Zimbabwe 100 trillion dollar bill - that's a one and 14 zeros - a large quantity of them might buy a single US dollar.

Who wants to be a trillionaire?

Robert Mugabe, President of Zimbabwe and chief economy imploder, has a scheme to encourage economic empowerment. It could be education, skills training, equipment, computers, business skills, managerial skills, import/export knowledge, etc but none of that wasn’t mentioned. Instead :

Under Zimbabwe’s empowerment laws, black Zimbabweans should acquire 51% of foreign businesses.

“We can read the riot act and say this is 51% we are taking and if the sanctions persist we are taking over 100%,” Mr Mugabe said

We all know math doesn’t seem to be Mr. Mugabe’s strong suit so I can’t help but wonder if he means : “we are taking over : 100%,” or if he means “we are taking : over 100%.”

I wouldn’t be surprised if he tried to seize 130%.

Juliar

It’s one thing being able to play politics. Indeed, our top politicians have to be experts to get where they are in such a rough, backhanded business.

But once you’re in government, you have to be able to deliver too.

Australia’s current Labor government, first led under the knifed Kevin Rudd and now with Gillard at the helm, has clearly failed to do this on pretty much every important issue.

It is a government in shambles, not even able to trust its own.

Our PM is a liar.

Take the BER.

When MP Paul Fletcher said costs had blown out on building works at a school in his electorate, he was called an “idiot” by Julia Gillard.

WHEN Liberal MP Paul Fletcher told parliament in March that costs had blown out on stimulus building works at a school in his electorate, he was called an “idiot” by Julia Gillard, who told him to get his facts right.

The then education minister responded to him in parliament in March by telling him to get his facts right.

But Mr Fletcher, the Liberal member for Bradfield in Sydney’s north, wasn’t feeling an idiot yesterday when the first report into the Building the Education Revolution scheme revealed that same public school failed the value-for-money assessment.

Gordon East Public School was one of 13 public schools in NSW that received a score of zero out of 10 for value for money after costs were analysed for their BER projects.

Tsk, tsk, Juliar.

Remember when Rudd had Gillard’s full support? Well, now it’s been revealed she was plotting for a year to take his job.*

Treasurer Swan’s hatchet job on the banks has also backfired. It was meant to reign in the big banks and help the little ones. In fact, the opposite has occurred with shares in the big four going up yesterday, and shares in the rest going down.

And then we have the big one. Critics of Juliar’s asylum seeker policy, which she herself drafted when Rudd was in power, were called “dispicable” when her policy’s effectiveness was critisised.

With up to 50 dead in just one day, clearly due to changes in the laws which saw almost zero illigal immigration jump to about 5500 in detention in under two years, have resulted in over 200 deaths.

Who’s the dispicable one now, Julia?

*Why didn’t our media tell us? Why was it up to WikiLeaks?

H/T Merilyn

UPDATE

They were just four prime examples. That pesky work thingy prevented more being written at the time. But let’s see. We had the disastrous pink batts scheme whereby four people lost their lives in house fires.

We had a budget surplus go deep in the red in under a year.

We had a failed and unnecessary stimulus package that we’ll be paying off for generations.

How about Juliar’s cash for clunkers scheme?

How about Rudd’s Australia summit with our *cough* best and brightest?

How about Rudd pandering to the Chinese (“ratf*ckers”) then telling America to prepare for war?

How about the mining tax debarcle which saw billions in investment leave our shores for greener pastures in countries like Canada and the continent of Africa?

And let’s look at what lies ahead. That $43 billion white elephant NBN comes to mind.

The never-to-be-built detention centre in East Timor even though there’s a perfectly good one in Nauru comes to mind. Meanwhile, hastily screened, un-documented people are being released into our communities while those who tried to do the right thing and apply properly now have to wait even longer.

Top that with possibly the biggest one of all; the carbon tax she promised never to introduce now firmly on the table, put there by the hasty post-election unholy alliance with the mad Greens… Juliar’s tax on everything.

Any more? Readers are invited to remind us in comments.

Im an ASIO spy, codename: “the Yank”

Well at least according to serial tosspot, pisshead and labour mate Bob Ellis over at the ABC unleashed website.

Ellis wrote one of his signature ” dribble from the plonk bottle” articles regarding the loss of life on the asylum seekers boats, starting with a stream of urine conciousness  series of oh so sad questions.

I answered them as I saw fit in comments which has brough a hilarious response from the old fraud.

This was utterly predictable. Christmas Island drownings

First a word of praise for the citizens of Christmas Island for their heroic actions in rescuing as many as they can from the boat that went down. Then a word of praise for customs and RAN personnel for the same.

Then an expression of sympathy for those lost, their actions have brought them to a far harsher end than any would wish upon them. Ive been to Christmas Island, and the part they appear to have hit is sharp cliff face, 2-5 m high and difficult to clamber over, a terrible end.

Finally a word for the scum infesting Australia’s parliament.

You did this Chris Evans

You did this Julia Gillard

You did this Kevin Rudd

You did this Chris Evans

You did this Kate Lundy

Your stupid, naive, idiotic insistence, despite all factual and material evidence that you policies had restarted the illegal immigrant trade, that there was no link is a bloody handed lie.

So what are you?  Ideologues for whom the lost lives are a worthwhile sacrifice as long as you can “feel” youve done the right thing? Or cold blooded psychopaths knowingly risking the lives of hundreds in order to appease the pro-refugee lobby.

I hope the screams of the dying haunt you you festering psychos.

Heres an extract from a post I wrote over at skepiclawyer a while back.

This will shock many, but Ruddock did the most humane thing in the world.

  • He stopped the boats.
  • He stopped more SIEVXs.
  • He stopped the trafficking of people by criminal gangs.
  • He stopped people being thrown overboard mid-voyage (not kids, this was murders)
  • He stopped the criteria for refugee protection being who could pay a smuggler.

I sent a submission to the new immigration minister when it was called for last year, offering advice and answers to any questions he and his staff might have on immigration detention issues. I received back a terse reply along the lines of “your experiences are out of date and irrelevant and won’t be considered.”

I have great confidence the new minister has already signaled to smugglers that their business is back open. When this leads to deaths, it will be as a result of people who are acting with the best of intentions to prevent a number of smaller evils (mandatory detention) which are easily visible, while not being aware of the much greater evils they are helping facilitate.

You are vermin Evans. Scum and slime.

Islam in action.

Bastards, pure asshole bastards.

Screaming woman publicly flogged by laughing policemen in shocking video from Sudan

Its possible the offence was wearing trousers under her burqa, so 53 lashes, delivered by a laughing thug in public for wearing jeans?

Islam is a mental disorder.

Kim Jong Il looking at things

Kim Jong Il looks at corn as DPRK functionaries look at him

the look of love. He'll never be ronrey again.

from the Kim Jong Il looking at things blog.  It also includes DPRK functionaries looking at him looking at things.
In the photo above, most of the people in the back seem unbearably sad that dear leader is fingering their lunch.

Sometimes I wonder if Kim Jong Il and Bono call each other to chat about sunglasses.

Wow the most sincere smile ever….

Princess Obama appears to be losing the plot slightly, Ace has the full story but I just want to point out the look on Obama’s face in the vid as hes busy being “pally” with Clinton.

"eat your Liver with some fava beans and a fine Chianti....."

Check this clip at about 26 seconds in, that’s not a friendly set of buddies by any means. If anyone knows how to screen cap a higher resolution picture of this it would be great.

And what sort of President leaves an interview about his programmes to an ex-president?

Obama has decided hes a part time president, the clearest indication he will not seek re-election yet.

A museum visit, and tragic book title.

Nowadays it would be sold "under the counter" with a title like that.

A month or so ago me and my other half were looking through a local museum in Northampton WA, I was chatting to my auntie and D was happily snapping away at the various exhibits.

We noticed the title on this book when we got home, which is why its a little hard to read.

The ” Warnes Pleasure book for girls“, regardless of what the title suggests, isnt actually as dirty as it sounds… and it doesnt in any way involve sexting by a certain ex-cricketer either…

We will try and get a few more piccies next time we go, they have a great machinery shed there….

Wonderful Korea

Having one of those days. Bastards want to pay me $6/class for some extra classes next week instead of the $20 that is clearly stated on my contract. Why? Because it’s “policy”.

Pricks.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDc4co-ZM_s

More.

“I hate Korea” days don’t come up very often, but they still do come up from time to time. Some Vegemite will be a must have today.

PS Nooo, it’s not like in those videos for most people most of the time. They’re more a collation of shit that has happened to someone at sometime… rare, but not nearly rare enough.

UPDATE

Some bloke made an xtranormal video about overtime pay in Korea.
