I think there’s a bit of truth to this.
Does anyone have some evidence to the contrary?

Ouch. As obviously tongue-in-cheek as that post is (like, hint, they filed it under “comedy”), funnier still (but in a kind of painful way) are some of the comments. I like this one, from commenter “Chris”:
“Maybe what is really going on is the left pick people of intelligence; beauty not being important for intellectual discussions. The right – happy just to scream and shout instead of making arguments – pick people that just look nicer.”
The right are “happy just to scream and shout”? Rosie O’Donnell = “Intellectual”?
As for the whole “looks” thing, I’m staying riiiiiiight away from that one… Spot happens to be a very handsome dog, but he’s gonna pull a “there but for the grace of the angels…” here. Yeah, go ahead, call me a Chicken Hound.

Spot, I found that comment remarkably funny myself. Rosie O’Donnell still doesn’t know that steel can melt, so I’ll continue to laugh at the “intelligent” part of his argument.
I think it just annoys the hell out of the Left that we look at reasoned facts, instead of going with pure emotion or “what feels right”.

It also annoys some lefties that we don’t necessarily hero-worship all right-wing public figures. For instance, hot as I think she is, I know fellow Republicans who find Ann Coulter a little trying at times, and say so in no uncertain terms. Top President as he is, some Republicans have problems with some of GWB’s policies or proposals (I’m thinking immigration/illegals here especially) and they’re not afraid to say so. And that’s all right. They’re actually allowed to think and say those things without being rudely shouted down and flat-out condemned by other conservatives. Heated discussion may ensue, but we don’t go home and burn effigies of them. Funny, that.

Very true Spot. I’ve read most of Ann Coulter’s books, and while I think some parts of them are utterly hilarious, other parts are right on target, I also think some parts are just downright laughable. And I don’t much care if other people agree with me on it.
Those of us who aren’t Left also understand that it’s not who makes the most noise who wins the argument, it’s those who use the most facts. Something that the Left is not in danger of doing.

They say that you have the face you deserve by the time you’re fifty. I guess if you spend your life seeing only bitterness and fear and ugliness everywhere, that’s how you turn out: bitter, fearful, and ugly.

I, on the other hand, am strikingly gorgeous. You’ll just have to take my word for it.

Whatever the relative differences in appearance – The Beef of God is fifty and nobody believes I’m that old – the fact remains that conservatives are breeding liberals out of existence.
Faster please (She said). LOL!

We can’t dispute the facts!
