Just stunning, 1.618. Thank you, Spot.
April 13, 2008, 9:18 pm at 9:18 pm
Beautiful; but that hut looks precarious?

LOTR!

They look beautiful 1.6. Hope you’re having fun.

It looks like a little red outhouse next to the little red house. You can see brown stains on the rocks below it.
It looks pretty good for a mountain top evil lair but it needs some antiaircraft guns, hordes of gun toting kung fu monks and, of course, an emergency escape rocket
April 14, 2008, 2:30 am at 2:30 am
Try not to melt the glacier onepointsix.
April 14, 2008, 2:36 am at 2:36 am
G’day Colonel, good to see you here!
Are you sure the outhouse isn’t the emergency escape pod? I’m sure a scientist such as yourself would know!
April 14, 2008, 3:04 am at 3:04 am
Good news everyone! You can now use the rocket escape pod for any of your personal hygiene needs. The the lever on the right flushes and the lever on the left launches the rocket. Ah, or was it the other way around…
Hi ash. I lurk here every now and then.
April 14, 2008, 3:26 am at 3:26 am
When I read that, I actually heard the professor’s voice saying it. Creepy…
It’s good to see you.
April 14, 2008, 4:25 am at 4:25 am
The dunny reminds me of the ones on the Abhrolos islands. You hang a crap and youd see the gross crabs come running for dinner.
Bloody nice scenery there 1.6, hope you had fun
April 14, 2008, 5:39 am at 5:39 am
What, no bears?
April 14, 2008, 9:34 am at 9:34 am
Can you still hear Saruman’s voice up there?
April 14, 2008, 1:01 pm at 1:01 pm
Wow. Spectacular scenery.
April 14, 2008, 9:26 pm at 9:26 pm
Greetings everyone. It’s brilliant here. Thanks everyone, there’s so much to show you all. The glacier is spectacular. It’s huge and it’s expansive. Today is raining and will clear up alittle later on in the day.
Spot the dog thank you for posting my pictures.
Does everyone like the loo outside near the hut, I wouldn’t not want to be a sleep walker.
April 14, 2008, 9:29 pm at 9:29 pm
oh, having said that, that’s the chopper that gets you to the hiking. I will be hiking in soon. I have been working on a series of images, and I’m lucky to have the chance to go up several times.
There was an avalanche not long ago which had bolders the size of the chopper and the snow coverage is awsome I have images of the glacier which if that’s ok I’ll send to you…

A message to colonel, my email address won’t let me open your email for some reason.

They are saying it’s melting but looking at it recently and comparing only the images from the 1940’s there’s some shrinking but in general it looks good to me…
