Here’s a stunner. OK, make that two stunners. The second one, I believe is more of mousetrap set up.

Putin to remain ‘Number 1’ for some time

Barack Obama on Sunday said that Reverend Jeremiah Wright, his former pastor, was a “legitimate [campaign] issue”, surprising those calling on the Republican party to withdraw an advertisement that shows Mr Wright’s face morphing into that of Mr Obama.

Rev. Wright Discusses ‘Public Crucifixion’ at Sunday Services, McCain and the Hussein Obama, campaign

Bits and Pieces:

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the embattled pastor of presidential candidate Barack Obama, gave a 45-minute sermon on Sunday that included a reference to his “public crucifixion” for past comments from the pulpit.

Wright also was the subject of political dispute on the campaign trail, as Republican John McCain criticized some of Wrights earlier remarks that have recently surfaced, and Obama taking a swipe at McCain.

McCain has been fighting the North Carolina GOP over an ad set to air Monday that links Obama and Wright, saying the ad is unfair. But on Sunday, McCain made the most confident steps so far on the subject, criticizing Wright over comments he made comparing Marines to Roman soldiers who killed Jesus, and comparing Al Qaeda flags to the AMerican flag.

Of the Roman comparison, McCain said, “It’s beyond belief. And then of course saying that Al Qaeda and the American flag were the same flags. So I can understand, I can understand why people are upset about this. I can understand why Americans, when viewing these kinds of comments, are angry and upset.”

Obama campaign spokesman Hari Sevugnan said McCain had “broken his word to the American people” in his criticism of Wright, according to a statement from the campaign.

“By sinking to a level that he specifically said he’d avoid, John McCain has broken his word to the American people and rendered hollow his promise of a respectful campaign. With each passing day, John McCain acts more and more like someone who’s spent twenty-six years learning the divisive, distracting tactics of Washington. That’s not the change that the American people are looking for,” Sevugnan said.

Fox News

John McCain, if you want to win this election, you must step up your game. The Leftist’s in this one…are quite good. If one likes Leftist’s that is.

UPDATE:

He also defended Obama and lashed out at the newsmedia for running excerpts of his heated sermons, media pundits and those who have tried to connect him to Islam because of his full name — Barack Hussein Obama.

“Please run and tell my stuck up stupid friends that Arabic is a language, not a religion,” said Wright. “Its not a religion stop trying to scare people like you are giving him a religious name.”

Fox News

Rev. Wright, pray (no pun intended) tell, WHAT exactly is the predominate “religion” of the “Arabics”? His Mommy and Daddy gave Hussein Obama that name, Just as the Kennedy’s named one of their sons, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. That name he used with pride. Is Obama not proud?

Seems to me Rev. Wright you are a smartass racist…hiding behind your color, are you not proud of your color?

The only one “stuck on stupid”, Rev. Wright, is you.

In my favorite (well close) color…titty pink. As per request…lol. With a slight tan.

A woman went into a store to buy her husband a pet for his birthday.
After looking around, she found that all the pets were very expensive.
She told the clerk she wanted to buy a pet, but she didn’t want to
spend a fortune.

“Well,” said the clerk, “I have a very large bullfrog. They say it’s
been trained to give blow jobs!”

“Blow jobs!” the woman replied.

“It hasn’t been proved but we’ve sold 30 of them this month,” he said.

The woman thought it would be a great gag gift, and what if it’s
true…no more blow jobs for her! She bought the frog.

When she explained froggy’s ability to her husband, he was extremely
skeptical and laughed it off. The woman went to bed happy, thinking
she may never need to perform this less than riveting act again.

In the middle of the night, she was awakened by the noise of pots and
pans flying everywhere, making hellacious banging and crashing sounds
She ran downstairs to the kitchen, only to find her husband and the
frog reading cookbooks.

“What are you two doing at this hour?” she asked.

The husband replied, “If I can teach this frog to cook, your ass is gone.”

1st In a new series, Mumblewatch.

The Australian public broadcaster is fairly renowned for its lefty bias, however in recent times it has hit a new low, providing a haven for a particularly vile anti-semite known as “Mulga mumblebrain”.

No accusation is to vile to point at the “evvvil Jooos!!”, and as a result it has been barred from commenting in a number of places. The ABC runs a moderated forum called “unleashed” which provides an open area for articles and commentary from people outside the ABC. All well and good, however its apparent sanction of jewhate by its commenters is beyond the pale. I have reported a couple of the worst ones for moderation, and as they are still present, I can only draw the conclusion that the ABC has no problems with blood libel and anti-semitism.

The worst of these filth is a creature Called Mulga. It is my intention to start a little ‘Mulgawatch” section here with quotes from the ABC forums, a log of comments “reported to moderators” and any responses by the ABC.

I hope El Cid will indulge me in this little vanity project. The following post is extremely long, and only comprises a fraction of comments from this poster. It would be extremely satisfying if a few of us could lodge enough complaints to embarass the ABC into removing such filth from a government funded website. please ad your own “report comment” by visiting the website and picking a couple of favourites.

(Apologies for not commenting much, am starting a new business as well as working, so am as busy as a dingo in a child care centre)

Here is the link to the whole “Unleashed” site. http://www.abc.net.au/unleashed/

Here is the moderation policy for the site. http://www.abc.net.au/unleashed/comments.htm

And here is the first link containing the mumble. http://www.abc.net.au/unleashed/stories/s2226078.htm#comments

And let us begin our thrilling reading:
