Video Purportedly Showing Space Aliens Shown

Halloween every Day…Fox News

More on the story:

A video purportedly showing aliens has been shown to the press, the Denver Post reports.

The approximately three-minute-long video, in grainy black and white, appears to show a creature with big eyes looking through a window into a house, the Post said. But it was unclear if it was a puppet or an alien.

Click here for more from the Denver Post.

Wait…Wait. Just read this “But it was unclear if it was a puppet or an alien.” Kind of a wide net you cast, ain’t it? Like Jesus!

Dunkin Donuts Pulls Ad…Late to the game on this…BUT..I do think Michelle Malkin is becoming The Arianna Huffington of The Right.

Dunkin Donuts has abruptly pulled an ad in which Rachael Ray wears a scarf which resembles, according to conservative commentator Michelle Malkin at least, a keffiyeh — a traditional scarf of Arab men.

Malkin goes on to say:

‘‘Popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos, the apparel has been mainstreamed by both ignorant and not-so-ignorant fashion designers, celebrities, and left-wing icons.’’

Dunkin Donuts denied that the scarf was a keffiyeh. But after right-wing pressure, they yanked the ad, saying,

‘‘In a recent online ad, Rachael Ray is wearing a black-and-white silk scarf with a paisley design. It was selected by her stylist for the advertising shoot. Absolutely no symbolism was intended. However, given the possibility of misperception, we are no longer using the commercial.’’

What do you think? Should Dunkin Donuts have pulled the ad? And does the scarf resemble a keffiyeh? Or is this just paranoia and fearmongering?

Obama Knocks McCain, Invokes McClellan

In a speech scheduled to be delivered tonight at a rally in Montana, Obama will again call McCain’s Iraq invitation “nothing more than a political stunt.” In criticizing McCain over the war, Obama is also expected to invoke Scott McClellan’s new book, according to excerpts of the speech:

“There are honest differences about how to move forward in Iraq, just like there were honest differences about whether or not we should go to war,” Obama is supposed to say. “John McCain was for the invasion of Iraq; I opposed it. John McCain wants to continue George Bush’s war in Iraq indefinitely; I want to end it. So there’s going to be a clear choice for the American people this November.”
“But that’s not what John McCain’s been talking about the last few days. He’s been proposing a joint trip to Iraq that’s nothing more than a political stunt. He’s even been using it to raise a few dollars for his campaign. But it seems like Sen. McCain’s a lot more interested in my travel plans than the facts, because yesterday — in his continued effort to put the best light on a failed policy — he stood up in Wisconsin and said, ‘We have drawn down to pre-surge levels’ in Iraq.”

“That’s not true, and anyone running for commander-in-chief should know better. As the saying goes, you’re entitled to your own view, but not your own facts. We’ve got around 150,000 troops in Iraq — 20,000 more than we had before the surge. We have plans to get down to around 140,000 later this summer — that’s still more troops than we had in Iraq before the surge. And today, Sen. McCain refused to correct his mistake. Just like George Bush, when he was presented with the truth, he just dug in and refused to admit his mistake. His campaign said it amounts to ‘nitpicking.'”

The McCain campaign responds:

We agree with Barack Obama about one thing — with troops on battlefields in Iraq and Afghanistan, we should have an honest, respectful debate about the best way forward. And if Barack Obama wants facts, we’re happy to have a debate based in fact: the fact is Barack Obama has refused to have a one on one meeting with General Petraeus, and has avoided a fact-finding visit to Iraq for over 872 days. The fact is, Barack Obama has voted against bullets and body armor for our troops while they’ve been fighting extremists abroad. The fact is, Senator Obama has been critical, but failed to hold a single oversight hearing on our mission in Afghanistan despite his position in the Senate. The fact is, he fails to grasp that a reckless withdrawal, while it may elevate his political aspirations, it will lead to chaos, danger and increased Iranian influence in the region. The reality is Barack Obama’s lack of action amounts to weak leadership, and shows he is just not ready to be our commander in chief.

Closing Of Homeless Shelter Leaves College-Application-Padding Students With Nowhere To Turn

A high school student wanders the streets looking for a warm place to spend up to eight hours a week.

NEW YORK— After years of providing hope and assistance to resume-padding volunteers, the Second District Homeless Shelter closed its doors this week, leaving hundreds of desperate students without anything to write under “Other Interests.”

The shelter, long a place of refuge for those in need of extracurricular credit, was shut down Monday due to statewide budget cutbacks and a drop-off in private donations. According to sources, the news has devastated countless high school seniors who had come to depend on the outreach center in order to impress prospective colleges.

“Where am I supposed to go now?” said 17-year-old Jeremy Krassner, one of many B-plus students left to wonder about his future. “Princeton only takes the very best candidates, and even schools like Columbia check for community-service experience.”

Added Krassner, “I’ll never make it.”

Mega-Scandal in Iran: $35 Billion in Oil Money Missing from State Coffers

In a shocking report, the chief auditing office of the Iranian parliament says that tens of billions of dollars in oil revenues from 2006-2007 have vanished.

Heads will roll for this…BUT then they do, anyway…Ahmadinejad, may soon be shorter…Awww, SHIT!

In what appears to be the biggest case of corruption in Iran, and perhaps in the Middle East, the Tehran-based Shahab News reported that the chief auditing office of the Iranian parliament (Majlis) has revealed that close to $35 billion of oil income from the financial year 2006-07 is missing.

According to Iranian law, this money should have been paid by the government of President Ahmadinejad into Iran’s central bank. Once there, the government can request the withdrawal of funds for projects, depending upon the approval of the Majlis. However, the new investigation shows that the government never paid the money into the central bank, and no one knows what has happened to it. Although it has not yet been proven, many suspect that the money has been used to finance corrupt activities of politicians surrounding the president, or the president himself. After all, it is very unlikely that this could have happened without his knowledge.

US students indoctrinated with AGW nonsense

Teacher, Michael Steria, at the David A. Brown Middle School in Wildomar, California (which rates quite poorly already) seems to think critical thinking isn’t important for his students. Lately, he’s conned his class of sixth graders to write letters to the Heartland Institute denouncing its actions.

Here’s a few examples.

I’m going to skip over to article #3 that we have read. It is about diesel traffic making asthma worse which leads to GLOBAL WARMING.

Err, asthma leads to global warming? Perhaps Steria could pull his finger out and teach the kids grammar instead of nonsense: namely what a dangling modifier is. Also, I’ve heard of traffic being bad but I didn’t know traffic could be diesel. Great teaching, Steria.

This ‘diesel traffic’ idea keeps getting a run…

In the past couple of months, we have read articles about Global Warming and we know facts about G.W. The 1st article is Diesel traffic makes asthma worse.

Wow, not only can traffic be diesel but diesel traffic can now be an article. Keep up those great standards, Steria.

Apparently, he teaches spelling as well as he teaches grammar…
