All we got here in anti-bush protests by the professional student demonstrators who are always out there. Great, isn’t it. I just wish they would move to North Korea if they think they are so great!

Sorry – network playing up, and I didn’t note some stuff got dropped. That 1st. sentence should have started with:-
All we got here in Australia was reporting on … anti-Bush protests.

The forces/ideas behind that rally have been building up for a while. Many Koreans have become sick to death of the repeated protests that were staged all around the country, er, protesting the reintroduction of US beef to the Korean market. To many, and indeed most foreigners, the anti US beef protests were nothing more than a thinly-veiled leftist American bash fest. Note that since its reintroduction, US beef has been selling like, er, US beef. OK, OK, it’s been selling like hotcakes. Note also, that just days before Bush’s arrival, he got the US Geographical Survey Board to to reclassify the Dokdo Islets to include it as Korean territory rather than having it undeclared territory as it was before. Unfortunately, many Koreans still blame America for saying Dokdo was actually the Japanese Takeshima, which they never did. The Japanese, through a constant avalanche of submissions to various UN bodies, have for years been trying to get the rrest of the world to think of Dokdo as Takeshima. Still, this important gesture from Bush, perfectly timed, has warmed the heart of many a Korean to the US as Dokdo has great historical significance for them.

PS And there’s a shitload of natural gas under the seabed in that area.

Sir Bing, excellent for the future economy, of SK. Not that there seems to be anything wrong with it now, maybe the exception of this global, downturn. You and Lady SC would know all on that subject.

Of course the North, will begin a new pissing contest over it.

As to the Dokdo’s, I blame Bush 🙂

  9. BTW, guess who’s back? « The Tizona Group Says:

[…] But wait! Surely, of course, the MSM would never be so biased… surely. Posted in Britain, Crime, Funny, History, Left, McCain, Miscellaneous, Obama, Republicans, Temp, Truisms, USA, WTF, politics. […]
