Time For A Rollercoaster Ride

This is one seriously cool rollercoaster. I want to ride it. Repeatedly.

To go for a ride, forward to 2:49, and watch it in full screen mode. Wicked cool.

UPDATE: Here’s an actual video of a ride on the MAVERICK.

UPDATE II: Tres cool!

UPDATE III: My heart freakin’ stopped! SWEET!

I don’t like roller-coasters. I really don’t. I like the whole speed and chaos thing but I have to be in control. I’m sticking to flight sims.

To really enjoy it, one first must eat, say two greasy hot dogs, cotton candy, beer if it’s served, or some really fizzy drinks of whatever nature, some popcorn…topped with a couple really greasy Italian sausage rolls, with peppers and onions. Then make a mad dash for the very front seats. THEN and barf your guts out, the riders behind you get the best of thrills.

The scariest roller coaster ride in the world had to be the one mounted on the outside of the top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, 800+ feet above the desert floor. I didn’t have the guts to ride it, but Mr. H did, and while he’s not normally afraid of things like that, he said he had to keep his face turned in toward the building.

Alas, they took it down a few years ago. They couldn’t run it when the winds were too high, which they are often out there. Now there’s some kind of spinny thing up there, on a crane arm that drops you out over empty space.

    That sounds like fun Rebecca!

I need to get to Melbourne’s Eureka Tower, which offer to shove you in a glass box out about 300 feet above glass.

The more deadly the risk, the more I love it.

Well, SAY something...
