I’m hoping the Democrat convention will be a fiasco, and if the die-hard supporters of the Wicked Witch of the East have anything to say about it, it will be.
“WASHINGTON — A massive e-mail and Internet campaign is under way aimed at derailing the nomination of Barack Obama and making Hillary Clinton the Democratic Party’s standard bearer next week at the national convention in Denver.
“It’s downright nasty,” said Memphis superdelegate and City Council member Myron Lowery, who has shared dozens of the messages he’s received with The Commercial Appeal.
“I think it’s divisive for the ‘Support Hillary’ campaign to continue at this time. She made the decision to fully support Mr. Obama,” said Lowery. “I don’t know why they’re not taking their cue from Hillary and falling in line.””
I hope this gets uglier than Hillary herself.

We’ll see if this becomes the Fight of the Century. I don’t have a dog in this fight, so it’ll just be entertainment for me. I can’t see the Democrats dumping Obama, thereby losing the black vote, but a nasty headlock and knife fight on the convention floor is worth a bowl of popcorn.

A knock-down, drag-out fight between Obama and Clinton could lead to the best compromise candidate the Democrates could hope for. A man who exemplifies Democratic ideals and promotes Democratic goals. A man who will work for a better world according to Democratic thinking, and not the perversion the extremists have pushed all this years.
Yes, I’m speaking of the one person best suited to representing the Democratic Party in the 2008 Presidential election, John McCain.

Yes, mythusmage, the conservatives have been shut out of this election: Rudy is giving the Republican keynote address at the convention. Basically, this election is now between moderate Democrats (The “Republicans”) and the lunatic leftist fringe (The Obamanauts).
