Illegal Immigrants Returning to Mexico in Record Numbers

Fox News

DAMN! Now what do our greedy American (owned by Dem’s and Repub’s) companies and business’s do?

DALLAS — Illegal immigrants are returning home to Mexico in numbers not seen for decades — and the Mexican government may have to deal with a crush on its social services and lower wages once the immigrants arrive.

The Mexican Consulate’s office in Dallas is seeing increasing numbers of Mexican nationals requesting paperwork to go home for good, especially parents who want to know what documentation they’ll need to enroll their children in Mexican schools.

“Those numbers have increased percentage-wise tremendously,” said Enrique Hubbard, the Mexican consul general in Dallas. “In fact, it’s almost 100 percent more this year than it was the previous two years.”

The illegal immigrant population in the U.S. has dropped 11 percent since August of last year, according to the Center for Immigration Studies. Its research shows 1.3 million illegal immigrants have returned to their home countries.

US troops ‘to quit Iraq by 2011’

BBC

US combat troops could leave Iraq by 2011 under the terms of a deal awaiting approval by Iraq’s parliament and presidency, an Iraqi official has said.

The draft security agreement also calls for US forces to withdraw from all Iraqi urban areas by June 2009.

The 27-point agreement reportedly includes a compromise allowing US soldiers some immunity under Iraqi law.

The final date when US troops leave will depend largely on security, the BBC’s Crispin Thorold in Baghdad says.

The decision will be taken by a joint committee, which could reduce or extend the amount of time US troops spend in the country.

Mohammed al-Haj Hammoud, the top Iraqi official negotiating with the US on the status of US forces in Iraq, said a deal had been agreed that envisaged all US combat troops leaving Iraq by 2011.

Some US troops could remain beyond 2011 “to train Iraqi security forces”, the AFP news agency quoted him as saying.

“The combat troops will withdraw from Iraqi cities by June 2009,” Mr Hammoud said.

“Both the parties have agreed on this… The negotiators’ job is done. Now it is up to the leaders.”

“The biggest troop supporter you never heard of!”

Feel free to watch it all the way through – it’s well worth it! 🙂

Not sure how closely he’s related to Johnny Freedom, but I reckon he’s not far off.

Sounds Like a Fantastic Movie: Tell No One

I happen to love French movies that are subtitled in English. This goes back to when I nearly died laughing and pissed my pants watching La Cage aux Folles back in my college years (The later Robin Williams English version was sacrilege!), and was continued watching Gerard Depardieu in Les Fugitifs some years later (And others, to be sure). Well now, a fantastically twisted novel has been made into what, by all accounts, is one of the best mystery/suspense/crime movies in years:

Tell No One

Tell No One

Tell No One

I’ll need the DVD of this, for sure, as reviewers say the second time through it is even better!

You may recognize the babe. She’s Marie-Josee Croze, the female assassin from Munich, who was killed in one of the most disturbing scenes I’ve seen in years. She gets offed – or, does she? – in this one as well.

Six Months Is A Long Time In The Election Game

The Tygrrrr has a post up referring to his thoughts six months ago on the US Presidential Election. It’s well worth the read.

Personally, I regret the loss of four main players in the election. Those four being Fred Thompson, Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush. But as always, I could be wrong.

McCain to Keep Pressure on Obama During Dems’ Convention

When Democrats take Denver by the thousands for the party’s national convention next week, John McCain’s campaign with be waiting close by to counterpunch.

McCain plans to keep a relatively light public schedule next week, but the McCain campaign will have a press shop with several staffers set up near the Pepsi Center, where the convention is being held.

There will be daily press conferences with key McCain supporters and advisers, tentatively including former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele.

Gee shit, this could be a riot and not a funny one. Fox News

Can anyone spell, teargas, truncheons, water cannons?

Have a question, I do. WHY do these people, started by Obama keep talking about THEIR houses?

Will this lead to a better economy? Defeat Islamists? Bring about true healthcare reform? Stop illegals from entering the U.S.? Get Mother______(fill in the blank) Russia out of areas they once controlled behind an “Iron Curtain”? Help bring Africa into the 20th century (YEP, I know it’s the 21st)?
