… If he picks Romney, he’s a blithering idiot.
As I’ve noted before, I believe Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is the perfect choice for McCain to make for his running mate. Now that Slow Joe “Big Mouth” Biden – the ultimate mediocre IQ Washington insider (The antithesis of Hope and Change – more like Dope and Mange) – is Obama’s pick, I believe more than ever that Palin is the only one.
Romney is about as relatable to most voters as a block of ice, and he’s just as charismatic as one too. That should have been the lesson of the primaries, but some seem not to have learned. Not to mention that Mitt could and would match Slow Joe word for word, which would be a disaster, even if Mitt is obviously far more intelligent than Plugs is.
Palin exhibits excellent economy of expression, she exudes mass quantities of charisma, and she is relatable to most voters; which Romney is certainly not, and which McCain himself has issues with.
Don’t be a dolt and lose the vote, John: Pick Palin!

Palin seems the perfect choice.
She’ll get the vote from wymyn who think only wymyn are capable of doing a good job… although she’s not a liberal, so that might be a bad thing.
She can balance family and work well (as evidenced by the five kids and the Governor job).
She can easily counter McCain’s age (she’s, what, 30?)
She can counter any environmental/moonbat concern McCain’s ever gone with, because of her opinion on ANWR.
I can’t think of any better pick, really.

Despite the Dems and the allied main stream media’s desperation to see Romney as McCain’s Veep, Mitt is clearly out, with (1) Obama doubling down on the class warfare theme (McCain’s 7 houses) and (2) McCain doubling down with ads showing the hypocrisy of Biden attacking Obama in the primaries — Romney did way more than that contra McCain.
This leaves only Govs Sarah Palin and Tim Pawlenty. Pro-abortion Ridge and Dem-Lieberman were never real considerations, despite relentless media goading. Pawlenty’s lackluster TV performances, coupled with Palin pizzazz, the primacy of oil drilling and the ticked off women/Hillary voters, does now portend a McCain/Palin checkmate on the Dems. This is so albeit the Dems and liberal media dare not mention Palin’s name, that is, everyone but…..
And if there’s any question as to Palin being uniquely positioned and able to more than nullify Biden in debate, see the excellent discussion at palinforvp.blogspot.com
Team McCain, well done!!!

I also think Palin is a good choice, for a lot of different reasons (it would undercut the “feminists”, and attract a lot of disaffected Hillary voters).
Btw, she’s 44. You have to be 35 years old to be eligible to be president, and she would be next in line, should anything happen (God forbid) to McCain. But at 44, she’s still young enough to counter, as you say, his advanced age.

She doesn’t look 44!

Great leaders are great leaders no matter their age. JFK was only 43 when he was sworn in as President. In today’s age, many would say he’s too young too.
To see how Palin get things done in Alaska in a State of good ole boys and huge oil company influence against her just shows the power of leadership she has. Republicans and Democrats alike respect and follow her. A true leader like this doesn’t come along that often. If you like her, do not feel afraid that she will not be up to the task. She is.
