The Rudd Government: We Elected Those Guys?!

I was looking through some old clips of Former Liberal Party Treasurer Peter Costello, one of the funniest politicians ever, well, one of the funniest who actually intended to be funny. I mean, who can look at his imitation of Peter Garrett and not laugh at the lame dancing of Peter Garrett?

Now, Peter Costello got derided over many of his Parliamentary Question Time antics by the media as well as all the Labor voters and pretty much most people who lacked a sense of humour and couldn’t bring themselves to laugh at something funny.

Now that the Australian Labor Party has been in Government for one year, it’s become clearer than ever that not only can’t Wayne Swan answer questions, but it’s an affliction held by many, if not all, ALP ministers. Of course, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd doesn’t have that affliction. He answers every question perfectly!

The Liberal Party can’t win at this game. Even when they do answer questions perfectly, honestly and bluntly, the responses are either twisted beyond belief, ignored, or they’re touted as being so completely wrong that no one would believe them anyway, and therefore the Liberal Party gets branded as being full of liars. It’s not a fair system, and it makes it next to impossible for the Liberal Party to be seen as honest, fair, or for democracy. Particularly when so many people in the media are pushing the anti-conservative agenda.
