Mo Toons 4th anniversary

Yup its been 4 years since the cartoons of doom were published, causing riots, deaths and chaos around the world.

Why reproduce them again? Why not, after all they are just images on a screen, not that that stops august institutions such as Yale University from pre-emptively censoring themselves…

Dude. It was four years ago a news article about them first linked me to Tim Blair’s old blog…Tim, being one of the few who actually published the cartoons.

Being unable to register at the time, I was still an avid reader.

Then one day, I noticed a blogger called Dminor published baby photos of my nephew on a certain thread.

    The rest is history.
    😉

Actually, a mate just saw them for the first time. Had heard about them since they came out. He was thoroughly disappointed. Thought all THAT controversy must have originated from something with more flame than those lame cartoons.

Not that the cartoons were that bad, but looking at them again, it’s hard to see how they could have been so provocative.

I have to agree. Seeing them, all up, years on, they’re almost a bit disappointing. Quaint almost, the outrage.

Well, ho hum, squeaky wheels and all that jazz.

    Mole gets us a fatwa!

Hope so, Angus. I’ve never had a fatwa. Only insults and one tepid death threat.
