      Yes, thankyou Mole and binbing

      I thought I would post a piece of music here. It is P.D.Q. Bach’s great Oratorio in G for massed organs and piccolos, “The Doom of Saul” A wonderful 5 hours of music…

      Only JOKING! I made that up….there’s no such thing.

      But as it is the anniversary of the premiere in 1942 of the movie Casablanca here is the jazz violonist Stephane Grappelli playing the theme As Time Goes By.

      Well if that works no one will be more surprised than me …apologies if it didn’t.

    Heh heh..good one.

    Thought i’d add this quote from John Stossel;

    “When you knowingly pay someone to lie to you, we call the deceiver an illusionist or a magician. When you unwittingly pay someone to do the same thing, I call him a politician.”

      But you can’t go past Spike Milligands headstone “I told you i was sick”

  3. Colin Says:

    Absolutely hilarious! Thank you.

    “The nine most scary words in the English language are – ‘I’m from the government, and I’m here to help'” – Ronald Reagan (ironically)

    My personal fave political quote (& so apt today) is – “It doesn’t matter who you vote for, the government still gets in”

    If I may be permitted to plagiarise one of Winston’s :
