Julia the Dullard.

Im sorry but our Prime minister is now embodying “stuck on stupid“.(:32 for the signature line)

The latest advertising junk is just an insult to anyone following the carbon DIOXIDE tax debacle.

Heres one set of lies, omissions and fudging all contained in just this 1:26 minutes of crap.

Lets concentrate on the biggest single cluster of lies and omission in the advertisement, its at around 32 seconds in when the countries “doing something” are listed on Juliars whiteboard.

China: Massively producing emissions, unlikely to change.

USA: Despite Obamas efforts at economic wrecking, is expecting a modest rise next year. If the economic misery continues then CO2 will stay stable or drop…oh…good….

India: You are kidding, heres one state in India’s efforts. “A single Indian state is to build a new fleet of coal-power stations that could make it one of the world’s top 20 emitters of carbon emissions – on a par with countries such as Spain or Poland.” The punchline to that joke?

Separately this week, international watchdog groups also complained that Indian coal companies were trying to earn hundreds of millions of carbon credits from the coal expansion. The Krishnapatnam plant has been registered with theUN clean development mechanism (CDM) and, if approved, could generate 3.5m carbon credits a year. Does Julia want to state shes sure none of our sinful carbon will be offset by credits from this plant?

Europe: May soon have to choose between its welfare state and the environment. They have dropped their levels of CO2 but lets face it, what have they gained?

The main reasons for the 2009 fall were a steep decrease in carbon emissions from public electricity and heat production, especially in Britain, Germany, Italy and Spain, it said.

“..Those four nations also suffered big falls in manufacturing industry while iron and steel industries receded in all major nations. “Emissions also fell in households and services — despite the colder winter — and in road transport,” it said…”

Oh good, cold people and less work…hooray?

So Juliar Dullards ad was factually right on exactly 1/4 of the countries it cited as leading the way.

Is Julia

a: Lying again

b: Mistaken

c: The greens made me do it..

The most telling part of that clip is the message beneath it.
“Adding comments has been disabled for this video.”

It’s pretty much a rip-off of Roy Spencer’s video clip (copyright Encounter Books) here:

Can we take all three [a yes, b yes, c yes] ? With c Julia has to blame someone, since she never admits to being wrong.

Next he’ll be doing lunch with Bolta. 😉

BTW, I had a sneak peak behind the scenes of your comment and still don’t know how to put up them fancy twitlinks.

      Halp!

PS Hit count was almost tripled yesterday on the back of the Monckton post. Yay!

    • spot_the_dog Says:

I’m not surprised, re. your Monckton post – you were one of (if not “the”) first to have the full video. I saw it linked a few places, but unfortunately I was flat-out yesterday and couldn’t comment or tweet.

Also, it’s a WordPress plug-in that automatically does all the hard work of the fancy embedded tweets for you. Just paste in the URL (from New Twitter, not the old version) and it should work. For instance, if you paste this in, minus the quotation marks “http://twitter.com/#!/jimmybingbing/status/93532120114401280”, it should convert it for you.

    • bingbing Says:

Dumb question, but how do I get that fancy long URL? I saw by sneaking behind the scenes of your comment that’s how you do it – just paste it, but am too 바보 to be able to get that fancy long URL up.

    • spot_the_dog Says:

It’s just the URL for the tweet – every tweet has a unique number. You have to be using the new Twitter interface (the one with the exclamation marks in the URLs), then click on the time stamp (i.e. “5 minutes ago”) of the tweet you want (that opens it in its own window) and copy & paste the full URL from the address bar.

The Kiwis who were held up as a shiny example brighter than a dumb Aussie saying no to carbon dioxide taxation are going down the gurgler but they won’t mention that either.

I’ve only seen this one advert a couple of times. Here and Boltas. Just because we get to pay for the rubbish doesn’t mean I have to watch.

Gillard has knocked the brick wall down apparently. She’s going through. Full stop.

That says it all. Why bother ‘selling’ it to Australian citizens? It’s not about what we want. it’s all about her.

I’m just too steamed by the bloody stuff. We don’t get to say no deal. There is nothing as policy to even bloody ‘sell’ to Australians even if they did get to vote. What a waste of money.

Meanwhile mental health funding was cut. Schools got told to not pay more for teachers and utilities even though expenses have gone up.It might pay to point this stuff out if you’re game.

A short and simple today’s carbon dioxide taxation adverts are bough to you by the Gillard government courtesy of funding earmarked for mental health…

or funding earmarked for your local primary school….

Millions in taxpayers funds that could be spent to help the community are being spent propping up an incompetent PM and her government.

    How fucked is that?

Sorry about that What was the question again? Oh. Yes the carbon dioxide taxation advert is a rip off. I’ve noticed a lot of anything said in the negative about Gillard, her bunch of knuckle dragger’s, and their blasted wet dream gets somehow said back.

    It’s a hoot.

  6. bingbing Says:

Who’s she trying to kid mentioning India and China, even the US?

    BWAHAHAHAHA!

Off the main topic, but Jooolya can’t expect to win friends by doing Christine Nixon a favour.
Launching Nixon’s book will probably be talked up as a gesture of solidarity, or friendship – although I can’t recall the two of them ever being chummy. A real friend might have tried to persuade Nixon to drop the idea of a book altogether. Especially one that tries hard to shift the blame to anywhere except where it rightly belongs.
