Congrats to ‘Watts Up With That’ – 100,000,000 Page Views and Counting…

W00T to WUWT on their “small milestone”, reached sometime this morning (8am-ish January 7th US Pacific time; the wee hours of the 8th Aussie time).

So wander over, offer your congratulations and thanks to Anthony Watts for his tireless efforts to bring some sanity – and SCIENCE – back to the discussion of nature, weather, technology and global warming climate change, check out Christopher Monckton’s guest post Hurrah for 8 orders of magnitude! and make sure to have a browse through some of the WUWT classics reposted here.

As Tim Blair noted in his recent post PEAK LOVE, “Climate panic is in decline…”  And though the self-inflicted damage of the content of the Climategate emails and many of the stupid hyperbole-ridden ham-handed advertising and “awareness” campaigns by the Warmies themselves (and their Love Media enablers) are partly to credit for the loss of credibility of the Catastrophic Man-Made Global Warming’s Gonna Kill Us All®  movement, much credit must really go to the big guns of the bloggy “Deniosphere” such as Anthony Watts, Andrew Bolt, James Delingpole and our own Blogfather Tim Blair.

“Ha ha Warmist losers. For you the war is over.”

How a carbon tax works.

Ive been doing some thinking and Im pretty sure Ive worked out how the carbon tax will save the planet.

Lets see if Ive got this right.

There needs to be a carbon tax to reduce CO2 emissions.

The tax works by making everything more expensive, therefore reducing consumption.

The government will use the money raised to compensate people and increase their spending power.

Which will enable them to consume just as much as before.

+ ???

= Saving the world by reducing emissions of CO2.

We are governed by the underpants gnomes….

Climategate hits NASA

According to Chris Horner of the Competitive Enterprise Institute, three out of the four main temperature data sets in the world are irrevocably corrupted or even fabricated. And NASA’s data set can’t really be used because they took their data from CRU (East Anglia), where this whole Climategate mess began. Not only that, there has been significant collusion between climate scientists and reporters to keep the alarmist message on track.

Heck, it’s being argued that NASA themselves knew their data was poor, but did they tell us that?

Pajamas has a few good articles on this. We also see Lord Monckton having a go at the Nature editorial staff, too.

The once-respected science journal Nature recently published a whining editorial to the effect that climate scientists are not criminals, really; that attacks on them by increasingly-skeptical news media are soooo unfair; and that the fundamental science showing that the planet is doomed unless the economies of the West are shut down at once is unchallengeable.

No doubt most climate scientists are not criminals. However, some are. Many of the two dozen Climategate emailers, who have for years driven the IPCC process, tampered with peer review in the learned journals, and fabricated, altered, concealed, or destroyed scientific data are criminals. Whether they or Nature like it or not, they will eventually stand trial, and deservedly so.

Here’s a neat video, too.

Even some who bought the man-made global warming line must surely be having doubts as to whether to rush in gigantic climate taxes.

Epic LULZ: Frozen Al Gore Ice Sculpture

Evidently, this is becoming a yearly ritual in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Apropos, as the entire northern hemisphere seems to be in the grip of runaway Gore Effect.

Some climo-tards, guilty of felonious stupidity, are still living in a state of profound denial.

THE GLOBE IS NOT WARMING! The Scientists Lied, and Climate Change Died!

In fact, we’re guaranteed another ice age!

Razing – Not Raising – Forests at Hopenchangen

Many people, including myself, often say that irony is lost on a leftard. Eco-events routinely generate real, actual mountains of trash, and Hopenchangen is no different in that regard.

“Mountain of Waste at Copenhagen”

“Those are the messages coming from the United Nations climate conference in Copenhagen, but the environmental elite here may have a problem with saying one thing while doing another — at least when it comes to paper.

The green-conscious conference is utterly buried in it. Not just 8×11 white sheets, but the heavy cream-colored paper used in brochures and glossy red-and-yellow papers the United Nations uses to urge attendees to live a low-carbon lifestyle.

“It is so unnecessary,” said Anna, one of about 35 Friends of the Earth employees who flew in for the conference. “Could we use any more paper? I don’t think so.”

The paper-product gluttony begins in the morning, when attendees entering the Bella Center are offered a 302-page book about how to go vegetarian. Eating meat, particularly livestock, is responsible for about 50 percent of greenhouse gases, say the towering tomes.

Besides, the books say, Pamela Anderson, Ashley Judd and Michael Jackson were vegetarians.

Once inside the Bella Center, more than 100 exhibitors from every NGO, trade union, company and association that has anything to do with global warming are handing out literature.

“It’s appalling,” said a woman from the Costa Rican delegation.

Handouts from the Colombian rainforest exhibit, which appeared to be underwritten by the country’s Ministry of the Environment, were printed on paper that did not indicate that it was recycled. That exhibit also provided documents promoting palm oil, which environmentalists say is being produced plantation-style in former rainforests, creating massive amounts of carbon dioxide from deforestation.

An NGO called Tearfund, which sells carbon credits and works to reduce poverty, offers up a 32-page brochure called “The first cut is the deepest; reducing global emmissions.” Its handout comes printed on thick, high-quality paper that is not recycled.

While the official COP15 cultural guide is produced “completely CO2 neutral,” and handouts from the Rainforest Alliance come with the Responsible Forest seal of approval, they might be the exception. Even the World Wildlife Fund’s “Pocket Guide for a Living Planet” is not printed on recycled paper — although it did use “vegetable ink” during printing.

Then there is the “Daily Programme,” which comes in two parts every day. It tells you who is doing what, where and in which meeting room. Total pages on Tuesday: 56. The total Wednesday was 48, and everyone takes at least one. Do the math: 104 x 15,000 = 1.56 million sheets. And that’s in just two days.”

Added boldness by Beef.

Read the whole enchilada, and watch the short but hilarious video of stack after stack after stack of paper products. Weyerhaeuser and Georgia-Pacific must have made a fortune.

Even the Fake Hockey Stick Wouldn’t be Bad if True

This is a very simple but highly effective video presentation that demonstrates just how silly the – fake, manufactured, bogus, bullshit: pick a pejorative adjective – “hockey stick” really is. In a nutshell, even if the “hockey stick” wasn’t a lie concocted by climate pseudo-scientists hiding political and financial agendas, it doesn’t even amount to a significant statistical blip when viewed in the context of the earth’s climate history, which had many much warmer periods before the advent of human civilization.

I don’t call the warm-mongers “climo-tards” for nothing: They are utterly ignorant and vacuous tools, lead by a lying shyster who has a larger personal “carbon footprint” than many undeveloped nations, and who has made himself nearly a billionaire peddling these lies to the gullible brainless. Global warming isn’t a religion – I hate it when people say it is – rather, it is a superstition akin to believing, “if you step on a crack, you’ll break your mother’s back.”

Tim Wilson in Copenhagen

It’s up to 33, 000 delegates. NGOs outnumber government reps (even with KRudd’s help) 2:1. China and India (go figure) are most unhappy with a leaked draft text.

As the Conference continues a walkout appears more and more likely. If flexibility isn’t adopted by developed countries toward the obligations on developing countries it is likely they will start decrying eco-imperialism and a lot of people will have emitted a lot of carbon by flying a long way for nothing.

“If the event weren’t such a farce, it’d almost be funny.”

Read the whole enchilada. Meanwhile, Tim is blogging over at the ABC.

Climate-gators at Copenhagen

Well, not surprising the skeptics aren’t getting a good hearing at COP15. After all, this is more a gathering of the faithful than an honest discussion, especially in light of Climategate. At least (and whoulda thunkit?) CNN is finally, belatedly asking some questions.

Yet Oppenheimer’s distortions are jaw dropping in that interview. Nowhere near all glaciers have been studied, sea levels are barely rising, the Arctic ice isn’t melting but has been increasing the past few years, there aren’t 2500 scientists all agreeing, but rather a handful as Climategate proves. Yes, take out CRU and there are other institutions. Hmm, that would include hockey stick Mann at Penn State, who’s stick has been debunked (Mann is being investigated by PSU), and NASAs Goddard Institute whose director James Hansen can’t be trusted. And for any worries about the oceans, just take a look at the observed data compared to the models.

And as for Earth being a closed system and our piddly amount of CO2 (5% of a gas that takes up less than 0.4% of the atmosphere) not letting heat escape from the planet? Bullshit. Again with those models. The red lines are the models, the green lines are the observed data. Anyway, it probably doesn’t stay in the atmosphere for long anyway.

Preaching to the converted here (pardon the pun), but those links are for any folks, and there’s many, still duped by this climate change scam.

NewsBusters has a pretty good piece on that interview and CNN’s coverage.

But back to Copenhagen, and despite a very critical opening few paragraphs, The Financial Times, finally sensing a whiff, gives Monckton et. al. a run.

It was not all political bombast. Several serious scientists, with long paper trails of academic work behind them, delivered power point presentations filled with data and diagrams attempting to show why the mainstream consensus was wrong.

Not really much good or bad news to report so far. Tom Wilson has a short clip covering the rabble that was day two.

If being a sceptic means not being friends with those nutjobs at the start of that video… good.

To be honest, I had more fun today replying to a few brain dead commenters over at Unleashed who were in support of Clive Hamilton, in what has to be one of the most rubbish, condescending, puerile posts ever read.

UPDATE

With thanks to lucanas in comments in another post, some Copenhagen piccies.

US Citizen? Sign the petition against cap n’ trade

If you’re a man-made global warming sceptic, or if you think the science perhaps isn’t settled, or if you are worried about a potential communist world government, or if you are worried about giant non-sovereign world taxes being imposed on all of us, or if you think the governments of this world already have too much power, or even if you’re not convinced yet either way, and don’t want a road paved that there’s no turning back on in just two short weeks, then sign this petition.

SIGN HERE

People literally right now are speaking at Copenhagen presenting the other side to this man-made CO2-driven man-made climate change/global warming argument. They will also be speaking tomorrow. Time is of the essence.

UPDATE

This post differs from the original. It came from watching the latest Monckton videos (the end of Part 4 of which part 1 was posted by 1.6 below), about a GLOBAL problem – but unfortunately only US citizens can sign that petition. Hence, first update removed, replaced with this.

Copenhagen: Climate Sense Conference

This is one of the first conferences of the COP15 junket summit, and it’s prime objective will be urging UN members (and everyone else there) to have open minds about this debate. Although Climategate has essentially proven that climate scientists, politicians, journalists, and the UN don’t have an open mind about climate change and it’s many causes, well, at least this Climate Sense Conference is taking place at all. It begins at 8pm tonight, Tizona time (same as Sydney and Melbourne) and runs until 2am Tizona time. It will continue at 8pm Tizona time on Wednesday and wrap up at 1am, er, Tizona time.

*Note: They mixed up the date on that link. It should read Tuesday, December 8, not Tuesday, December 7.

It’s brought to you by this mob, the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow, and that link has lots of great additional stuff related to Christopher Monckton, Climategate, and Copenhagen et. al..

In case you missed it yesterday, Lord Monckton, along with Professor Fred Singer, and Professor Ian Plimer, will be speaking at that conference.

Also, in case you missed this over at Bolt’s, Tim Wilson of Sustainable Development is actually over in Copenhagen and will be blogging about it. Might be a good place to go to get up-to-the-minute info.

UPDATE

Better late than never. From December 1, MIT’s professor of meteorology, Dr. Richard Lindzen, argues that the science isn’t settled in the following summary…

Is there a reason to be alarmed by the prospect of global warming? Consider that the measurement used, the globally averaged temperature anomaly (GATA), is always changing. Sometimes it goes up, sometimes down, and occasionally—such as for the last dozen years or so—it does little that can be discerned.

Claims that climate change is accelerating are bizarre. There is general support for the assertion that GATA has increased about 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit since the middle of the 19th century. The quality of the data is poor, though, and because the changes are small, it is easy to nudge such data a few tenths of a degree in any direction. Several of the emails from the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit (CRU) that have caused such a public ruckus dealt with how to do this so as to maximize apparent changes.

Copenhagen schedule

A silver lining…

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Monckton, Fred Singer, and Ian Plimer will be speaking. Bad news is that they’re speaking right at the beginning and could well be forgotten by the end. Good news is that nothing much is likely to come out of this, with no actual agreements until June next year or even until 2011.

Let’s hope “our boys” get a fair hearing and their message gets through over, say, Desmond Tutu’s call for cash.

Schedule.

And with trepidation, a link to an article quoting Lord Monckton. Do read the whole enchilada, but since the following has been largely passed over, here’s an excerpt reminding us what this AGW crock means for our food.

Speaking about replacing one third of agricultural land which grows food to be used for growing bio-fuels instead, Christopher Monckton reminded that it has led to double food price surge over just one year.

“If we have to pay twice as much for our food – it’s inconvenient. If you are in a poor country – that difference of a 100% in the price of your food is the difference between life and death,” he warns.

More.

UPDATE

In related news, have you heard about the steel cages being set up for any protesters who are arrested?

Powerline asks: What do they think we are, anarchists?

Will Lord Monckton throw Molotov cocktails, or Pat Michaels smash bank windows?

Hopenchangen vs reality

As 1.618 noted a couple of posts down, COP15 has begun. Despite Climategate, which included the destruction of raw temperature data and the ‘travesty’ that the top ‘scientists’ couldn’t account for recent cooling, despite evidence elsewhere of temperature data being fudged, it’s still quite possible that we’ll all be slugged with a giant extra tax to combat a problem which has not been proven to exist.

Meanwhile…

The cold storm system dropping from the northeast out of Canada will be unusual since the coldest temperatures will bypass Northern California communities such as Red Bluff and Redding but drop Sacramento Valley temperatures Monday to a record 27 degrees.

That’s the coldest for Dec. 7 since the National Weather Service began tracking temperatures in Sacramento in1849.

Oh.

UPDATE

It’s getting nasty.

Al Gore Cancels $1.2K Copenhagen Meet-and-Greet

As 1.618 noted, Al Gore was planning to charge $1,200.00 per to allow people to shake his ManBearPig paw and have their picture taken with him in Copenhagen. Seems like many people ponied up to meet Al, but Gore chickened out, leaving many in a lurch.

“Former U.S. vice president has canceled his event, more than 3,000 Danes have purchased a ticket…

Looks like they will get a refund though. Might be worth more as a collectors item in ten years though.

I wonder how many people have shelled out $1200 to shake Al’s hand? Maybe not enough and he couldn’t cover the expenses for his private jet?”

No, Gore is a Fraud and a Scaredy Cat>

“In the wake of Climategate, his continued global warming proclamations and his refusal to debate are simply untenable. Thus after Britain’s Lord Christopher Monckton recently challenged Gore to a debate, Monckton afterwards added: “If you don’t dare [debate], I want you to remain silent about [global warming] forever from now on.”

The Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) has grown so tired of Gore’s unwillingness to debate that they are openly mocking him — offering to pay him $500.00 if he’ll debate Monckton. But with all due respect to CEI, there’s no reason to believe a scaredy cat like Gore, who is positioned to become the world’s first “carbon billionaire,” will expose the error of his ways to a sound thinker like Monckton.

Instead, he’s more likely to make himself even harder to reach in order to be sure he doesn’t have to defend his global warming assertions. There’s a good chance this was the motive behind the cancellation of his scheduled appearance at the Copenhagen climate conference later this month. Although people had already paid $1200.00 to meet the former vice president, the outcry over Climategate may have persuaded Gore that allowing people to get close enough to shake hands would be tantamount to allowing them to get close enough to ask tough questions.”

Yep, “He knows it’s all unravelling.”

At least we have the satisfaction of now knowing that Al Gore will go down in history as just another lying, money-grubbing shyster. I don’t know about you, but that helps me sleep more soundly at night.

It will be nicer, though, when he finally stops turning perfectly good oxygen into carbon dioxide.

Fruit of the poison tree

Good take on Climategate and Copenhagen from a blogger called naturalfake

There’s a legal concept known as “fruit of the poison tree”. Basically, it states that any evidence or conclusions derived from improper or illegal techniques are inadmissible in court.

In the world of science, “fruit of the poison tree” would be any research that did not follow the well-established methods of scientific proof. Methods which include maintaining the integrity of observed, raw data. The reproducibility of results. Open availability of data for independent review and confirmation. Accurate prediction of future data by any model or theory derived from that data. At a minimum any theoretical model should completely and accurately predict past data points and phenomena.

UPDATE

No… Don’t click the Tizona banner, don’t click the next comment off to the side, click (er, right click!) the “read on” link. It just gets better and better. It’s like watching an autopsy on the (what should be at least) dead body that is man (Mann) made climate change.

Nothing to see here, move along

Climategate? What Climategate? It’s not in the papers. Well hardly. Certainly not on the front page of any of Rupert’s rags.

However.

Credit where credit’s due…

Stewart was brilliant, until he tried to counter, backtrack, save his arse, balance (ha!) it out. So lame. For starters, polar bear numbers have been increasing as we all know.

But is that just due to the decrease of hunting?

When restrictions on polar bear harvests were put in place in the early 1970s, populations rebounded. That situation was a conservation success story … but the current threat to polar bears is entirely different, and more dire.

Today’s polar bears are facing the rapid loss of the sea-ice habitat that they rely on to hunt, breed, and, in some cases, to den. Last summer alone, the melt-off in the Arctic was equal to the size of Alaska, Texas, and the state of Washington combined—a shrinkage that was not predicted to happen until 2040.

Interesting, no time stamp on that link. So which “last summer” are they talking about? Interesting, just google polar bear population increase and top of the page is that mob.

Rapid loss, eh? What about the gains?

Overall, that graph looks pretty ordinary… especially when one considers other estimates for polar bear numbers. Oops! The yellow line vs the red line. It’s a travesty they could not explain.

Mitch Taylor, Dr. Mitchell Taylor

Polar Bear Biologist,
Department of the Environment,
Government of Nunavut , Igloolik , Nunavut , Canada

… quoted in that report who also notes:

One polar bear population (western Hudson Bay ) has declined since the 1980s and the reproductive success of females in that area seems to have decreased. We are not certain why, but it appears that ecological conditions in the mid-1980s were exceptionally good.

Climate change is having an effect on the west Hudson population of polar bears, but really, there is no need to panic. Of the 13 populations of polar bears in Canada , 11 are stable or increasing in number. They are not going extinct, or even appear to be affected at present.

It is noteworthy that the neighbouring population of southern Hudson Bay does not appear to have declined, and another southern population ( Davis Strait ) may actually be over-abundant.

And as for the hunting?

I understand that people who do not live in the north generally have difficulty grasping the concept of too many polar bears in an area. People who live here have a pretty good grasp of what that is like to have too many polar bears around.

But since everyone loves piccies…

You know what’s also interesting, though? From bing’s overy-humbled – thanks to Vista – comp…

Yep, the blog American Thinker is in the google NEWS searches, for – polar bear population increase –

UPDATE II

Penn State university, home of Michael “hockey stick” Mann, is also launching an investigation into Climategate. Good.

US Senator, James Inhofe calls for a probe, too.

Climategate: More CRU= TGP Pr0n!

I must say, this is the best “CRUdGate” story yet:

“Let’s start at the top, and bear with me.

If the climate and recent changes are not unprecedented, then there’s nothing to do. Let’s go to the pub.

If it is unprecedented, then we need to know why. If we don’t know if it is unprecedented or if we don’t know why, we need to stop here until we can find out.
If it is unprecedented but it’s not us, then we need to question seriously if there is anything that we can do about it and the answer to that is very very likely to be “no”.

If it is us, we then to move into economics. Will the damage outweigh the benefit?

And even if the damage does outweigh the benefit, we still need to consider if the cost of stopping the climate change at source is less than the cost of adapting to the problem to minimise the damage.

And even if the mitigation does cost less than adaptation, we need to ask if our only option for mitigation is to subborn all our freedom to a putative benevolent world government.
Only if you can answer “yes” all the way down that chain can you get to Copenhagen. One misstep and you are looking at adaptation, either because we shouldn’t do anything, or it’s the best thing to do or the alternative is so appallingly ghastly, depending on which route you took to get there.”

You simply must read the rest! It’s as good as TGP!

Wholesome.

Climategate: CRU= TGP

I swear, reading Climategate stories is as much fun as surfing TGP sites.

CRU:

“I’ve been poring over one of many leaked computer files from the “climategate” scandal.

It’s worse than those e-mails revealing leading climate scientists did a “trick” to “hide the decline” in global temperatures and privately called it a “travesty” they couldn’t explain recent cooling.

This document has the innocuous header “HARRY_READ_Me.txt.”…

The file — 274 pages long — describes the efforts of a climatologist/programmer at the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia to update a huge statistical database (11,000 files) of important climate data between 2006 and 2009.

The computer coding, along with the programmer’s apparently unsuccessful efforts to complete the project, involve data that are the foundation of the study of climate change — recordings from hundreds of weather stations around the world of temperature and precipitation measurements from 1901 to 2006, sun/cloud computer simulations, and the like…

Reading “HARRY_READ_ME.txt” it’s clear the CRU’s files were a mess. The programmer laments huge gaps in data, bug-filled programs and worries about all the guesswork he’s doing. His comments suggest the problems go back years…

As you read the programmer’s comments below, remember, this is only a fraction of what he says.

– “But what are all those monthly files? DON’T KNOW, UNDOCUMENTED. Wherever I look, there are data files, no info about what they are other than their names. And that’s useless …” (Page 17)

– “It’s botch after botch after botch.” (18)

– “The biggest immediate problem was the loss of an hour’s edits to the program, when the network died … no explanation from anyone, I hope it’s not a return to last year’s troubles … This surely is the worst project I’ve ever attempted. Eeeek.” (31)

– “Oh, GOD, if I could start this project again and actually argue the case for junking the inherited program suite.” (37)

– “… this should all have been rewritten from scratch a year ago!” (45)

– “Am I the first person to attempt to get the CRU databases in working order?!!” (47)

– “As far as I can see, this renders the (weather) station counts totally meaningless.” (57)

– “COBAR AIRPORT AWS (data from an Australian weather station) cannot start in 1962, it didn’t open until 1993!” (71)

– “What the hell is supposed to happen here? Oh yeah — there is no ‘supposed,’ I can make it up. So I have : – )” (98)”

Read it all.

Okay, TGP:

See what I mean? reading about the China Syndrome meltdown of Piltdown Man climate “science” is almost as awesome as looking at a beautiful young girl.

Here’s some more CRU:

Tigerhawk says:

“Some of this is a bit over done; not every suspicious turn of phrase in a conversational email hides a conspiracy, and anybody who has worked in a large organization knows that. It is also true that people in all organizations vent about outsiders who threaten to knock down the door as Steve McIntyre, to his credit, does all the time. The emails alone prove nothing.”

I disagree with this. These inclement climate pseudoscientists are fucking, goddamned pieces of shit. I don’t think one can “over do” shedding light on these slimy nightcrawlers. Personally, I think they should be cut up into little bitty bits and used as chum. After all, they are basically trying to rob the world economy of billions of dollars, and deny all peoples their God-given natural rights. No form of execution could be too gruesome for them. After all, this is cultural treason.

More TGP:

And yet more CRU:

“In a nutshell, Climategate is a destroyer of world-views. As someone who has always maintained that the AGW hype was a matter of politicians and grifters seizing an opportunity to use unsettled science as a means of getting filthy rich while imposing harsh measures against human freedom, I am very familiar with the world-view of the alarmists. Whenever I wrote about the “hoo-hah” of AGW (and particularly of Al Gore’s stupendous, international fake-out and hypocrisy), my email would load up with people telling me I was “a stupid hick,” unschooled in scientific method (just like Al Gore) and therefore unentitled to opine on anything, so I should just “shut up” and “go away” and of course, I was a “nazi.” These emails occasionally ended with a diatribe against George W. Bush for good measure, and suggested he and I were both “criminals” against humanity. One person even accused me of being Barbara Bush, in disguise.

All of that was standard-issue hate, but nowhere as amusing as the occasional “Sinner, fry in hell” emails I will get from a Jack Chicker, so I stopped reading them long ago.

But I also had a journalist I admired, and who I still consider a friend, privately and gently suggest that if I doubted the truth about AGW then I was as deluded (and perhaps as evil) as a “holocaust denier.””

Read it all, because there are many awesome links. Just like a soft porn TGP site, you could get lost for hours in the “friends” links.

Still more TGP:

Like I said, it’s a tossup: Surf TGP or surf CRU?

“There is a lot to read about Climategate, but none of it is in the Mainstream Media, with the exception of the Obama-Administration described “not real news” organization. That would be Fox News, which is covering the story.

The New York Times, in a stunning bit of hypocrisy, says they won’t report on Climategate because they didn’t like the way the information was discovered. To the NY TImes, the real story, if they ever deign to cover it, will be about the method in which the story was found, and the ends not justifying means.

There is a valid nit to pick over hacking and how it threatens not just programs but governments and individuals. But when an entire global movement, with accompanying financial interests and public bullying has been founded on “science” that is -at the very least- now confirmed to be “unsettled,” that information, regardless of how it was brought to light, needs to be reported on and investigated.

The NY Times’ prim distaste for the means of disclosure on this issue rather reminds me of a few years back, when someone leaded a memo from the Senate Intelligence Committee, whereby Sen. Jay Rockefeller suggested strategies to undermine “Bush’s war,” and the mainstream media ignored the content of the memo, while waxing indignant over the leak.

The standard media, it seems, only like leaks when they serve their own agendas, or take down their perceived enemies, foreign and domestic.

So, they don’t like this Climategate Story, not at all. Troubling links and trouble, trouble for the narrative.

Let me tell you why the press is blacking out the Climategate story:”

Which goes into Driscol’s quotation, but there’s a lot more CRU pr0n links you shouldn’t miss!

Climate Pseudoscience was a Mind Control Plot All Along

From The Dread Pundit Bluto, we get this gem of Orwellian Mind Control from the fraudulent, now disgraced, pseudoscientists currently being entombed by Climategate.

“There is plenty of evidence relating to attitudes towards and behaviour on climate change, general environmental behaviour change and the whole issue of sustainable development communication. As we reviewed the research for these principles, one ‘überprinciple’ emerged: “Changing attitudes towards climate change is not like selling a particular brand of soap – it’s like convincing someone to use soap in the first place.”

At first glance, some of the principles may seem counterintuitive to those who have been working on sustainable development or climate change communications for many years. Some confront dearly cherished beliefs about what works; a few even seem to attack the values or principles of sustainable development itself. However, these principles are a first step to using sophisticated behaviour change modelling and comprehensive evidence from around the world to change attitudes towards climate change. We need to think radically, and the Rules of the Game are a sign that future campaigns will not be ‘business as usual’. This is a truly exciting moment. [You want excitement? Come over to my house and try peddling your lying, putrid wares to me. I’ll show you magnum levels of excitement. – Beef]

Yeah, that’s right, these lying pseudo-intellectuals peddle their pseudo-scientific lies with mind control tactics. Like I’ve said for years, there is no sub-class of human beings more susceptible to peer pressure and mind control than leftards are.

In real life, leftards don’t fight mind control. Rather, they embrace it.
