That giant baseball is flying straight towards Hugo’s head.
“Gracias Presidente Venezuela Campeón!” translates to “Thanks President Venezuela Champion!” on a billboard put up by political brown nosers in the City of Caracas in 2006 (trusting my memory, I think it was the City of Caracas but I can’t tell if the logo on the lower left actually says it was Caracas).
It references the fact that Venezuela won baseball’s Caribbean Series (Serie del Caribe) in 2006. I can only assume that the city government of Caracas put up billboards in the years that a Venezuelan team didn’t win blaming Chavez for not wearing his baseball uniform.
But now, with Hugo Chavez dead, how will any Venezuelan baseball team ever win again? Don’t worry, they have a plan :
Hugo Chavez’s body will be preserved and forever displayed inside a glass tomb at a military museum not far from the presidential palace from which he ruled for 14 years, his successor announced Thursday in a Caribbean version of the treatment given Communist revolutionary leaders like Lenin, Mao and Ho Chi Minh.
Obviously, in order to win future baseball games they’ll dress mummified Hugo up in a baseball uniform for all to see and thank. When the Olympics roll around they’ll put him in a brightly colored unitard for weight lifting, speedos for swimming events, put him in riding boots & duct tape him atop a pony for equestrian sports, and dress him in sequined tights for ice skating.
I, for one, am thankful that other world leaders don’t get into a sport uniform to associate themselves with other people’s success. Imagine Angela Merkel or Gerhard Schröder squeezing into a short tennis skirt and putting photos of themselves on billboards because a German won a women’s tennis championship.
It is amazing (but not surprising) that a government had thought that it had nothing better to spend money on than a suck-up billboard when sending him (if a toady felt compelled to be sycophantic) a thank you card would have been less expensive and Chavez would have been more likely to see it.
For some obscure reason an Australian University was playing host to Paul Ehrlich this week, and apparently his lecture wasnt titled “I was wrong, boy wasnt that silly”. No instead hes jumped both feet first on the Global warming bandwagon and milking it for all hes worth.
ELEANOR HALL: The United Nations says the world’s population will reach 7 billion some time today, though it concedes the date is symbolic and its calculations could be out by six months in either direction.
The UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon says reaching the 7 billion mark is an opportunity for progress.
But Professor of Population Studies at Stanford University and author of the controversial book, The Population Bomb, Dr Paul Ehrlich, says the milestone is no cause for celebration:
PAUL EHRLICH: I think it’s cause for a lot of alarm and so does every scientist I know.
(Every scientist he knows, careful parsing of the phrase there Paul)
You have got to face it, we still have close to 3 billion people living in poverty, almost a billion hungry. We are wrecking our environment, we are changing the climate, we are toxifying the planet from pole to pole and the worst thing is that nobody is doing anything about it.
25 years ago in China, over 600M people were living on < $1/day. Today this number is 180M … meaning 420M+ people are now above this level.
Between 1999 and 2004, 135M people worldwide rose from < $1/day to above this level. This is more people, more quickly than at any other time in history.
In South Asia, the number of people without clean water has halved since 1990.
In 1975, 75% of people aged 15-25 were literate. Now the rate is almost 90%.
In 1970, the fertility rate in East Asia/Pacific was 5.4 and now is 2.1 In South Asia, it was 60 and now is 3.1. Overall, global fertility has fallen from 4.8 to 2.6 in 25 years. Africa has all but one of the countries with fertility rates above 5.0.
A World Bank study noted that every 1% increase in national income her person in an emerging country translated in 1.3% fall in extreme poverty.
In 2007, the global economy entered its fifth year of over 4% growth — the longest period of expansion since the 1970′s. Also, trade grew 9% despite all of the challenges.
Almost half of all humans lives in countries with growth of more than 7% per year (which doubles the economy every decade).
Inequality has risen in both rich and poor countries overall, but there are examples where this is not true questioning whether globalization is the main culprit of inequality. The Economist argues that lack of [quality] education is likely the biggest culprit.
In 1990, more than 25% of people in developing countries lived on < $1/day. At current rates, this will be 10% by 2015.
Income is not the only way to quantify improvement for the poor. Monetary measures understate the real gains from things such as lower child mortality, safer water, literacy and other social achievements.
A study shows that the number of conflicts (international and civil) fell from over 50 at the start of the 1990′s to just over 30 in 2005. The number of international wars peaked in the 1970′s and have been falling ever since. The death toll in battle fell from over 200,000 a year in the mid-1990′s to below 20,000 in the mid-2000′s. [The WHO has higher numbers.]
The number of incidents of terrorism has increased since 2001 although the number is still very small.
Over at Gov and Vlad Tepes a call has gone out for assistance. The remarkable Fjordman is in somewhat straightened circumstances, so a few of us are helping put the word out for him. He hasn’t had a blog of his own for years, although that has not stopped his productivity. What did slow him down, however, was the Norwegian gunman Breivik naming him (among others) as being a bit of an inspiration*. I personally think that Breivik’s ‘manifesto’ is a load of tripe. Breivik talks of christianity, say’s he’s not one, and yet gets wheeled out as being a fundamentalist christian. As someone who is into Extreme Popery, I call bullshite. In the meantime, and along with everything else, Fjordman has now pretty much lost everything – job, home, country. I’ve got a cat he could have, but that’s no use when there’s nowhere to keep it. He does have a few (for him) words over at Vlad’swhich I’ll paste here:
Hello from Peder Jensen alias Fjordman. I will continue writing under one name or the other and hope to publish several books in the next year and a half, but after the Breivik case in Norway, which I got mixed up in against my will, I no longer have a job and I am also moving out of my old flat in Oslo, which I already left weeks ago. There are always some costs involved in moving to a different location and creating a new life somewhere else. If you have enjoyed some of my essays in the past I would be grateful if you donated a few bucks this time. Think of it as a Fjordman Relocation Fund. Just mark the donations as being for me and I will get it via Vlad’s fine website. Thank you, and thank you for all the support and kind words I get from long-time readers. Peder
This is not quite a twilight bark – more a twilight blog. *very interesting review of Breivik’s ‘manifesto’ by someone of the left-persuasion. I’m not sure she’s read the Reliance, or the hadiths or the Hedaya, but that’s only to be expected. A few weeks with HuT might help her with a few things. Like the fact that muslims believe that sharia law is Allah’s Law for all men for all time, so whether she agrees with it or not is irrelevant. That’s not conspiracy theory, neither is it conspiracy that a man has been hounded out of his home for writing some hard-hitting essays that focus on the Decline and Fall of Western Civilisation. We’re just not supposed to mention the islamists because we’re not allowed to hurt feelings. Please check out the post over at VladTepes, and if you can donate money to assist Fjordman, please do. If you can’t, then linklove and prayers are most welcome also.
Now reverse the religions to “Christian politician calls for Islamic slaves to be kept in forced concubinage” and you wouldnt be able to see the sun for the smoke from the flags of said country burning.
A Kuwaiti woman who once ran for parliament has called for sex slavery to be legalised – and suggested that non-Muslim prisoners from war-torn countries would make suitable concubines.
Salwa al Mutairi argued buying a sex-slave would protect decent, devout and ‘virile‘ Kuwaiti men from adultery because buying an imported sex partner would be tantamount to marriage.
Heres an idea for you mole woman, how about discouraging polygamy by wealthy men? You know, unless you are planning on finding a war or 2 to mop up the surplus frustrated blokes left over?
She suggested shopping for prisoners of war so as to protect Kuwaiti men from being tempted to commit adultery or being seduced by other women’s beauty.
‘For example, in the Chechnyan war, surely there are female Russian captives,’ she said.
Putin doesnt think so...
‘So go and buy those and sell them here in Kuwait. Better than to have our men engage in forbidden sexual relations.’
So in bizzaro world prostitution is bad, and those doing it are worthy of the death penalty, but slavery and forced intercourse are just spiffing?? The mind boggles.
Mutairi said that during a recent visit to Mecca, she asked Saudi muftis – Muslim religious scholars – what the Islamic ruling was on owning sex slaves. They are said to have told her that it is not haram.
The ruling was confirmed by ‘specialized people of the faith’ in Kuwait, she claimed.
‘They said, that’s right, the only solution for a decent man who has the means, who is overpowered by desire and who does not want to commit fornication, is to acquire jawari.’ Jawari is the plural of the Arabic term jariya, meaning ‘concubine’ or ‘sex slave’.
One Saudi mufti supposedly told Mutairi: ‘The context must be that of a Muslim nation conquering a non-Muslim nation, so these jawari have to be prisoners of war.’
Concubines, she argued, would suit Muslim men who fear being ‘seduced or tempted into immoral behaviour by the beauty of their female servants’.
Steve Holliday, chief executive of the National Grid, said “We are going to change our behaviour and consume it when it is available and available cheaply”
America has wound up with a charming leftist as a president. And this scares me. This scares me not because I hate leftists. I don’t. I have many charming leftist friends. They’re lovely people – as long as they keep their nose out of things they don’t understand. Such as making a living.
When charming leftists stick their nose into things they don’t understand they become ratchet-jawed purveyors of monkey-doodle and baked wind. They are piddlers upon merit, beggars at the door of accomplishment, thieves of livelihood, envy coddling tax lice applauding themselves for giving away other people’s money. They are the lap dogs of the poly sci-class, returning to the vomit of collectivism. They are pig herders tending that sow-who-eats-her-young, the welfare state. They are muck-dwelling bottom-feeders growing fat on the worries and disappointments of the electorate. They are the ditch carp of democracy.

Gee looks like both sides are hammering each other there eh?
Maybe the sub heading contains more info?
Pastor and five others shot in raids on churches while explosions 300 miles away claim 32 victims
Now If I were a casual reader Id assume the “pastor and 5 others” are the Christian casualties and the explosions were muslim, otherwise the headline is deceptive right?
Clashes broke out between armed Christian and Muslim groups near the central Nigerian city of Jos yesterday after Christmas Eve bombings in the region killed more than 30 people.
Strange, Christians bombing at Christmas time…?
The tensions are rooted in decades of resentment between indigenous groups, mostly Christian or animist, who are vying for control of fertile farmlands and for economic and political power with mostly Muslim migrants and settlers from the north.
Such a deliberate use of passive words, “migrants”, “settlers”, Still they must all be the same because they are all black, right Mr Guardian writer? If it was ANY white nationality “who are vying for control of fertile farmlands and for economic and political power with mostly white migrants and settlers from the north.” the Guardian would be calling it an invasion and colonialism.
Heres a hint Mr Guardian man, Not all “darkies” are the same, much the same as not all “whities”, “Slant eyes”, or “Curry munchers”.
Your soft racism is nothing of the sort, its just as vile as a neo-nazi knucklehead or KKK man, just expressed in neutral language.
In the north of the country, dozens of armed men attacked a church on Christmas Eve, dragging the pastor out of his home and shooting him dead along with two young choristers rehearsing for a late-night carol service.
“dozens of armed men”, any clue on what motivated this execution of a religious man? If the old South African regime had hauled out Desmond Tutu and shot him dead would they just have been “dozens of armed men” with nothing more said?
The group of about 30 attackers armed with guns and knives also killed two people who were passing by the Victory Baptist church in Maiduguri.
Ahhh, this must be the christian mob….
The assailants left after torching the church and pastor’s house.
Oh, maybe not….
Still Im sure there is some Christian violence mentioned, or the headline is a farce, surely?
At the other end of the city, Reverend Haskanda Jessu of the Church of Christ in Nigeria said three men attacked his church, killing a 60-year-old security guard.
Oh ok then….
Read the whole article at the top link, there is NOTHING like a clash, instead there is one group being repeatedly attacked by another, but in the world of a Guardian writer there is no identifying characteristic of the attacking group… Madness.
A google search with the terms Nigeria Christians attack, comes up with pages of attacks on Christians there, What group could possibly be involved?
Oh great, first it was the 10:10 idiots and their “blow up the kids” ads, now its an Aussie mob saying hamburgers are the equivalent of injecting speed/heroin into your kids.
Heres an experiment for the producers of this tripe. Ill feed a child 3 happy meals a week on their condition you inject your own kids with speed for the same period of time. 3 times a day.
At the end of a week we will just go cold turkey, you inject saline into your kid and Ill feed my kid 3 square meals.
Then you can compare the results eh?
Who pays for this tripe? They must be government sponsored because no business would choose to offend its paying customers so much.
Just in time for Scientology leader David Miscavige’s 50th birthday (this Friday, April 30th, Happy Birthday Dickhead), internet activist group Anonymous has released a list of 1000 people who’ve left the Church — and spoken out against it.
I remember when the wave of criticism grew from a few outspoken critics, like Arnie Lerma, Mark Bunker and Gerry Armstrong, to a massive body of masked and unmasked individuals who decided it was time to take the Church of Scientology to task. Since then, a grassroots movement has helped add their voice to those who’ve been abused by this government sanctioned ponzi scheme/cult, that enjoys tax benefits no other religion gets, may have killed members, has driven members to suicide or bankruptcy and uses famous celebrities to create a facade of legitimacy built on bilking innocent people for millions upon millions of dollars.
Good stuff, considering Scientology is the end result of a bar bet between sci-fi authors L. Ron Hubbard and Robert A. Heinlein (but you already knew that).
All that said…
Face it, Scientology is here to stay. They’re a permanent fixture. And twenty or thirty years from now, no one will pay them any more attention than the Lutherans.
The first bit, I hope not. But in reality, and referring to the second bit, I hope so.
Get a look at this story and realise Al Gore and co have blood on their hands. Not mythical “it will happen in the future” blood, but real, here and now blood.
“A seven-month-old baby girl survived three days alone with a bullet in her chest beside the bodies of her parents and toddler brother.
Argentines Francisco Lotero, 56, and Miriam Coletti, 23, shot their children before killing themselves after making an apparent suicide pact over fears about global warming.”
See terrifying people has consequences, it is likely the couple were mentally ill in some way or otherwise vulnerable, but your AGW scam was the catalyst that saw them commit this act. Or is this ok because they are just collateral damage for the greater good?
“Her parents said they feared the effects of global warming in a suicide note discovered by police.”
Its even worse when you see the type of prick presenting the info they killed themselves over.
He admitted withholding data about global temperatures but said the information was publicly available from American websites.
And he claimed it was not ‘standard practice’ to release data and computer models so other scientists could check and challenge research.
‘I don’t think there is anything in those emails that really supports any view that I, or the CRU, have been trying to pervert the peer review process in any way,’ he said.
Lets look at what they have to say then, and just who are the “environment institute“? Well from the info given its a section of the university devoted to environmental issues. Given the direct links between increases in funding for their disciplines and AGW I think we can safely assume they have a vested interest in Mr Hansens theories. There is no mention of Mr Hansens visit on the SA government website, despite them promoting themselves as collaborating to bring Mr Hansen to Oz??
Now heres another talk hes attending in Oz, can we claim Mr Hansen is in the pocket of big uranium?
Note the supporters of this forum, ABC, SMH and Sydney council, all wets.
This is a very simple but highly effective video presentation that demonstrates just how silly the – fake, manufactured, bogus, bullshit: pick a pejorative adjective – “hockey stick” really is. In a nutshell, even if the “hockey stick” wasn’t a lie concocted by climate pseudo-scientists hiding political and financial agendas, it doesn’t even amount to a significant statistical blip when viewed in the context of the earth’s climate history, which had many much warmer periods before the advent of human civilization.
I don’t call the warm-mongers “climo-tards” for nothing: They are utterly ignorant and vacuous tools, lead by a lying shyster who has a larger personal “carbon footprint” than many undeveloped nations, and who has made himself nearly a billionaire peddling these lies to the gullible brainless. Global warming isn’t a religion – I hate it when people say it is – rather, it is a superstition akin to believing, “if you step on a crack, you’ll break your mother’s back.”
“Pretending the climate email leak isn’t a crisis won’t make it go away
Climate sceptics have lied, obscured and cheated for years. That’s why we climate rationalists must uphold the highest standards of science”
This is unexpected, because I thought Moonbat was a global warming climate change true-believing dead-ender (And he still has time to prove himself thus).
“I have seldom felt so alone. Confronted with crisis, most of the environmentalists I know have gone into denial. The emails hacked from the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia, they say, are a storm in a tea cup, no big deal, exaggerated out of all recognition. It is true that climate change deniers have made wild claims which the material can’t possibly support (the end of global warming, the death of climate science). But it is also true that the emails are very damaging.”
See what I mean? I’d call that a, “modified limited hangout” bordering on a, “fake but accurate” stance. If you read the comments, it’s clear that the warm-mongers are mostly in denial. I love the rich irony of that, because they call me a, “denialist” of course.
“It is true that much of what has been revealed could be explained as the usual cut and thrust of the peer review process, exacerbated by the extraordinary pressure the scientists were facing from a denial industry determined to crush them. One of the most damaging emails was sent by the head of the climatic research unit, Phil Jones. He wrote “I can’t see either of these papers being in the next IPCC report. Kevin and I will keep them out somehow – even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is!”
One of these papers which was published in the journal Climate Research turned out to be so badly flawed that the scandal resulted in the resignation of the editor-in-chief. Jones knew that any incorrect papers by sceptical scientists would be picked up and amplified by climate change deniers funded by the fossil fuel industry, who often – as I documented in my book Heat – use all sorts of dirty tricks to advance their cause.”
See what I mean? Moonbat wants so badly to revert to type, that he can hardly contain himself. Lack of self-discipline seems to be a lefty trait. This article may have been written before the liars at New Zealand’s NIWA were exposed.
“The New Zealand Government’s chief climate advisory unit NIWA is under fire for allegedly massaging raw climate data to show a global warming trend that wasn’t there.
The scandal breaks as fears grow worldwide that corruption of climate science is not confined to just Britain’s CRU climate research centre.
In New Zealand’s case, the figures published on NIWA’s [the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric research] website suggest a strong warming trend in New Zealand over the past century:”
“The caption to the photo on the NiWA site reads:
From NIWA’s web site — Figure 7: Mean annual temperature over New Zealand, from 1853 to 2008 inclusive, based on between 2 (from 1853) and 7 (from 1908) long-term station records. The blue and red bars show annual differences from the 1971 – 2000 average, the solid black line is a smoothed time series, and the dotted [straight] line is the linear trend over 1909 to 2008 (0.92°C/100 years).
But analysis of the raw climate data from the same temperature stations has just turned up a very different result:”
The, “very different result” is a +0.06 degree per century warming of N-Zed – a virtual goose-egg – versus the artificial and intentionally alarming lie concocted of +0.92 degrees per century.
Back to Mr. Moonbat:
“Some people say that I am romanticising science, that it is never as open and honest as the Popperian ideal. Perhaps. But I know that opaqueness and secrecy are the enemies of science. There is a word for the apparent repeated attempts to prevent disclosure revealed in these emails: unscientific.
The crisis has been exacerbated by the university’s handling of it, which has been a total trainwreck: a textbook example of how not to respond. RealClimate reports that “We were made aware of the existence of this archive last Tuesday morning when the hackers attempted to upload it to RealClimate, and we notified CRU of their possible security breach later that day.” In other words, the university knew what was coming three days before the story broke. As far as I can tell, it sat like a rabbit in the headlights, waiting for disaster to strike.”
That’s the second time he’s deployed, “exacerbated” in this article. It must be his weekly vocabulary word. Well, Georgie Porgy (My name’s George too, so I can call him that if I want), I’d say your disappointment is exacerbated by the depth of your desire for global warming climate change AGW all of this bullshit to be true. These fabrications of data are not a failure to meet the Popperian ideal of noble and objective science, they are an out-and-out rejection of it. Predisposing an outcome and manufacturing data to support it is what was done during the Spanish Inquisition, and has nothing whatsoever to do with the scientific method. They’re liars, Georgie, liars!
Just replace, “a fanatical dedication to the Pope and a nice red uniform” with, “a fanatical dedication to the idea of AGW and a while lab coat.” These assmaggots are equally pathetic, but not nearly as funny.
The tide has shifted. Even many liberal-left Democrats are beginning to tire of government enforced, “cultural diversity” when the subjects in question are Muslim immigrants who refuse to assimilate, and do nothing but breed on the dole and threaten their hosts with violence… and often enough, act out on those threats.
Sweden, a country I love – OK, I really love the women – and have lived in, is paying the return trip for asylum seekers who have been turned down. Note that the countries listed are all Muslim countries, that a higher percentage are now being refused, and that applications are also dropping as the people back home get word that the public teat is running dry.
Expect this to spread. Peace-loving citizens of western nations – who will readily self-identify as libertarians if the terms are properly defined for them – are fed up with this malignant ideology parading as a religion, and they bloody well want their countries back.
Not only that, but there are now calls for the abjectly ridiculous Clinton-era gun ban for military bases and posts to be rescinded. This is major big progress. I grew up a military brat on Air Force bases in the 60’s and 70’s: My dad carried a .357 revolver around with him whenever he was flying, and nobody ever gave it a second thought. It’s a military base for fuck’s sake! Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines are supposed to be fucking goddamned ARMED! Expect this to change, and soon. Even lilly-livered generals don’t like to be caught with their pants around their ankles while their unarmed soldiers are mowed down by lunatics.
There will also be an end to this kind of malfeasant shit. Hasan’s superiors wondered if he was a bleeding psychotic nut-case, but nobody wanted to take the heat for accusing a Muslim of being a danger. A hearty fuck that to that noise. That’s gone soon as well, and three cheers.
Westerners are long-suffering because we’re civilized, and we’d like more of the world to share in our prosperity and standard of living, but if you invite a dog into your house and he refuses to stop shitting on the carpet, well, you’ll rid yourself of the cur sooner or later, no matter how much you wish he’d shape up.
That’s what’s happening now: Muslims have been shitting on the carpets of western countries too long, and the owners of those carpets are tired of cleaning up after them. We’d like to walk on those carpets barefoot without worrying about stepping in a pile of Muslim shit.
Perhaps in another few centuries Muslims will be ready for civilization, but they aren’t now.
Send them back to their bat-shit filled caves and their flea-infested sand dunes. That’s where they belong.
I intentionally waited 24 hours to post this, because it became obvious to me quite early on in the news coverage of the incident yesterday that there were many errors in the coverage, some intentionally misleading, and others not.
First, it was reported that there were three shooters in at least two locations: There was one shooter in one location. It was reported that the shooter and the officer who shot him were both killed: They both survived. We heard that the shooter was a convert to Islam, sparking speculation that he was a black Muslim: He was a life-long Muslim, and a first-generation American son of Palestinian immigrants. We also heard that there were no warning signs: There were many.
If you want to see just how much of a cluster-fuck the reporting was, just read this Jawa Report post, or this Ace of Spades post to get a taste. No offense to those guys at all, as this is just what happens when you try to keep readers informed with continuously updated posts during a confused major news story like this. I, however, didn’t want to go there; I wanted to wait until the dust settled.
So, aside from the facts above, what do we now know? We know that Major Malik Nadal Hasan was the perpetrator, that he was a devout Moslem, that he voiced opposition to US policy in the GWoT many times, that there were at least some who were investigating some Jihadist statements he made, that he had come to the attention of the FBI because of some of these sentiments posted online, that he was a psychiatrist treating our servicemen and women who had been in combat or in combat zones, that his education was paid for by the American taxpayer, that he was in the military elite, earning a six-figure income, that he had received a “poor” performance evaluation at his previous post in Maryland, that he creeped-out some of his fellow officers with the statements he made, and that he was shouting, “Allahu Akbar” as he mowed down our Army men and women with two handguns that he illegally smuggled onto the post. And, most importantly, that he was about to be deployed to Afghanistan and was openly unhappy about it.
Yet, there are still some debating or denying that this was a terrorist attack. I don’t care that it was a lone shrink suffering from Sudden Jihad Syndrome, or if he had any ties to known terrorist groups, it is a fact and not an opinion when I say, this was a terrorist attack. It is always terrorism when a Muslim does something like this: Islam is a terrorist religion.
One person being interviewed following the disclosure of the perp’s identity even said, “I wish his name had been Smith.” Of course you do, because WASP males are the only group left who are legitimate targets of prejudice, racism, and religious discrimination (Well, there are the Jews. Eternally). Additionally, it is the hight of PC heresy to blame Islam or a Muslim for their actions. The MSM interviewers and commentators were spinning like tops to avoid it yesterday.
Well, fuck that. This POS Moslem scumbag should never have existed. His parents should never have been allowed into the US to breed on the taxpayer’s dime, he should never have been educated on the taxpayer’s dime, and he should never have been allowed into the US military! Since that proper policy wasn’t followed, once his sentiments became known – the instant they became known – he should have been kicked out of the Army and forced to repay what the Army spent on his education. Every. last. dime.
Additional problems abound. This was a US Army post, yet it was a gun-free zone? The female officer who shot Hasan was a civilian, not an MP. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot?
Guess what? In Israel when a weapon is issued to a serviceman or woman, they own it and are expected to keep it with them and ready to use 24/7. Go to an Israeli beach sometime: Scantily clad men and women carrying full-auto military firearms. I don’t know about you, but that would give me a warm and fuzzy feeling all over. Yes, people have gone crazy in Israel and started shooting innocents too, and they were summarily mown down by the armed populace. That is the solution! Why?… because crazies will always manage to get ahold of firearms, no matter how stringent the brain-dead shyster-politicians make the gun laws. The doughnut-eating police can’t ever seem to manage to be where they are needed when they are needed either – it’s impossible for them because they aren’t psychic – so the only solution is an armed citizenry.
For Christ’s sake, at least on an Army Post! When I grew up on USAF bases, the gates were guarded by armed AP’s. My dad routinely carried a .357 around with him, and nobody thought anything at all about it. We need to get back to that, especially now. And not just in the US, but in every Western country. Being armed and ready to defend your life, your family, and your property, is a fundamental human right! You want to prevent genocide? Arm the populace so they can resist effectively!
Let those evil fucks at the UN choke on that shit.
I’m sure as hell glad I live in Texas, where I can be armed in my house, my truck, and in public with a CCP. I’m still pushing for open carry like New Mexico has, though.
Bottom line is, most of these deaths would have been prevented if the soldiers were armed, as they should have been: 13 dead and 30 wounded. By one man with two handguns. On the largest United States military post in the world.
Disgraceful.
Here’s the perp the morning of the attack buying coffee, dressed in trad Islamic rags.
Here are CAIR representatives doing what Muslims do best, faking sincerity and lying to us infidels. Remember, CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terror financing case. The Koran tells them to lie to us, so that’s what they do when it suits their purposes. And they really don’t want the attention on them for this incident, so they are lying: Islam is the religion of lies also.
I’ll never trust a Muslim. Ever. And that’s not prejudice, it’s a rational and post-judicial decision. Islam is evil, as its followers prove daily.
UPDATE – bing
The compant we keep. From a fellow worshipper at Hasan’s mosque…
Duane : I’m not going to condemn him for what he did. I don’t know why he did it. I will not, absolutely not, condemn him for what he had done though. If he had done it for selfish reasons I still will not condemn him. He’s my brother in the end. I will never condemn him.
Personally, this is hard to reconcile. I have two muslim friends. And they are good blokes. Yet, unsurprisingly, the above pops up…
As usual, the charge is that Americans allegedly burned a Koran.
Islam and Obama are both so far beyond parody that it’s impossible to post this stuff with a straight face. EPIC… Epic… epic… FAIL… Fail… fail (That’s Sports Stadium Announcer Echo – SSAE – for those of you unfamiliar with the format).
Just assume when a leftard opens their mouth or writes anything that it’s a lie. You’ll be right nearly 100% of the time. Perennial libtard whipping boy Rush Limbaugh is again the victim of lying leftards and the lying pieces of shit who enable them.
Here’s the best redux of the latest exhibition of leftist psychopathy.
“Which public figure can be quoted as having said something bigoted and disgusting and it doesn’t matter whether he did or not because he might have? Who can Big Media brand a racist without checking the facts? Who has to prove he did not say something racist, rather than the accuser proving he did?
A pat on the back for anyone who guessed the answer: Rush Limbaugh (OK, the blog headline was a clue). From CNN to MSNBC to ABC, it’s been put about that Limbaugh said this:
I mean, let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back; I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.
It’s also been spread around that he said this, about the death of the man who assassinated Martin Luther King:
You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honour? James Earl Ray. We miss you, James. Godspeed.
Trouble is, he didn’t say either of these outrageous things. And it wasn’t difficult to check, as protein wisdom shows here. They originated from, er, Wikipedia and Wikiquotes. Both quotes ended up in this book – a hit job that doesn’t cite any sources. They’re also included in this internet list posted a year ago and endlessly ripped off ever since.
The irony is, of course, that the people reporting this as fact are the same types who are always denouncing bloggers and the internet as forces of evil intent on destroying proper journalism – proper journalism being the kind that involves checking facts. In the case of Rush Limbaugh, however, it seems to be enough that the intention (i.e. to show the talk radio host is a racist) is considered pure.”
Fake but accurate!
I hope Rush sues the living fucking shit out of each and every one of these God damned, cock sucking leftard morons and forces printed, spoken, and aired apologies out of each and every one of them. SFLT’s can’t make a single point with the truth, so they’ve become serial, pathological liars.

Bob Carter:
In contrast to this small (and still hypothetical) risk of damage from human-caused climate change, there exists a certainty that gross socio-economic damage is already resulting from global warming activism, and is set to get worse.
The accelerating moral panic about alleged global warming and its projected catastrophic effects is a fundamentally religious phenomenon. Despite its pretensions, it is not primarily about science. Rather, it represents the emergence of a new religious movement (an NRM, or what used to be called a ‘cult’). This new form of eco-fundamentalism is characterized by a widely excessive faith in science, a hatred and despair at Humanity, an intolerance of opposition or even skepticism, and a near hysterical form of secular Apocalypticism.
Spain believed the hype about environmental regulation creating “green jobs” and boosting the economy. Now 18 percent of Spaniards have no jobs. Our own country – Ireland – has the Green Party in government who are pushing for a “carbon tax”. This will increase the price of every good and service on an island that is enduring 13 per cent unemployment. The increased costs will drive out jobs during one of the worst recessions in living memory.
A similar fate awaits Australia if it follows Europe’s lead. Eighty percent of Australia’s energy comes from coal, and the country exported $45 billion worth of it last year. Tens of thousands of jobs in the energy sector are at stake if Parliament adopts ETS to cap carbon dioxide.
In any event …i t is becoming increasingly evident that support for the fundamentalist global warming agenda is soft. Indeed the BBC now concedes there has not been any evidence of global warming since 1998, notwithstanding the increasing amount of carbon emissions. That’s why the fundamentalists are trying to change the name of their secular religion to climate change.
Once the electorate understands the massive impact on their lives of an ETS, and the fact that it won’t affect global carbon emissions [nor global warming, nor climate change – bing], they will obviously reject it. In 1998, the promise of the GST almost brought down the government. This was a far more benign, almost harmless substitute for other taxes including those ones curiously found invalid by the High Court.
What are they? Well they are a group of swampies who are going to fast for various length of time during the Copenhagen summit to add “moral pressure”. Their objectives?
Climate Justice Fast! will therefore serve three important purposes:
1. Raising awareness. (Because we know no-one has heard of the problem yet, right?)
An international hunger strike is a new, exciting and newsworthy action, with enormous potential for capturing attention. If taken up by the mainstream media, it will send a powerful message to members of the public who are as yet unaware of the importance of the issue. (Its old and worn out, and unless a few of you die nowhere near newsworthy in any form other than “freaks of the week” sections of news broadcasts)
2. Providing inspiration.
Climate Justice Fast! also has enormous potential to inspire those who are already aware of the climate issue to become more politically active. By putting our bodies on the line we will lead by example and show the level of commitment and courage that the climate crisis requires from us all. (Short of wandering around in sandwich boards proclaiming “the end is nigh” I can think of no better thing for you to do. I can then apply Margos Maids reverse retard index and make a killing backing what you think is bad)
3. Sending the strongest possible message to our leaders. (What message is that? “our education system is a shambles? My tax money pays for these professional bludgers?)
Our act will also serve as a powerful reminder to our political, social and economic leaders of the importance, and moral consequences, of their decisions on climate change. (The message being, “you are following the advice of a smelly unwashed hippie with delusions of grandeur”)
Backed up by the usual youtube clip designed to make people “care”, with no mention of the cost, or the science behind it, much of which is looking particularly wobbly.
And just how many of the people quoted in that video would you buy a used car off?
