New Socialism

Extra taxation, more regulation, the media, the academia… aaalll riiiight. And of course that, er, what was it? Oh yeah, global warming.

Thanks Obama. Change? New Socialism? Sounds like…

Their “New Socialism” doesn’t need to capture [carbon capture, maybe?- ed.] property.  It is content to control the economy [EEK! – ed.] through taxation and regulation and the attitudes of our citizens by the establishment of a culture through the power institutions of our society:  the media, the education establishment, and powerful business interests.  Moreover, the “New Socialism” seeks to create a conventional wisdom that discredits all alternative thought.

It was linked to the last post but perhaps deserves it’s own stage.

The US economy: then, now, and into the future

Peter Schiff makes a lot of sense in this video. It sounds like you guys are going to be in for a very long, rough ride. It’s over an hour long but well worth the watch.

H/T

Still, he has his detractors, too.

PS That last link is well worth the read in light of the video.

Chummy comrades

Chavez and Putin, er sorry, Medvedev are being pesky little buggers again. In what appears to be a bit of an on-going hissy fit at Bush for helping the Georgians out, they’ll be teaming up for military exercises in about, er, now.

This goes along with a new energy deal between the former communist country and the country working so hard to become communist. Yep, Chavez is having another crack at becoming prez for life.

Speaking of cars…

Cars, LOL.

Well, the world’s leader of Capitalism may well vote in a guy who has some pretty bloody socialist policies, discussed at length here and elsewhere.

Let’s Start the Day with Pure, Unmitigated Horseshit

“The United Kingdom has been ranked as one of the most stable and prosperous countries in the world, beating the United States, France and even Switzerland in a global assessment of every nation’s achievements and standards.”

The Times Online owes me for the coffee I laughed through my nostrils reading that article. Basically, what it boils down too is, “countries ranked by how socialist and politically correct (Read, “stupid and fascistic”) they are.”

Fuck the UK. I wouldn’t live in that miserable shithole if you paid me a million Euros a year.
