Just how bad is WA’s Justice system?

This will be another slightly long post, so just a bit of background before I go below the fold. I shore for Mr Rowe about 10 years ago, he was a nice bloke, and he was well respected in Yalgoo (his hometown) by both black and white residents.

William Rowe was killed last year on Christmas day by a group of thugs while he and his family were having a relaxing day on the beach. A small group of scum (about 3-5) were present on the beach and were caught stealing drinks from the families esky. They were told in no uncertain terms to fuck off, which should have been the end of it.

Instead they went back to their house and gathered a group of about 30 to go and flog the “white cunts” (their words). They then proceeded to bash and assault Mr Rowes family group.

His son in law was slashed across the face with a bottle, and from reports would have drowned in the surf if he hadn’t been carried from it. Mr Rowe was loading his injured son in law in the vehicle as his family tried to escape a mob of up to 25 scum. He was struck with his own cricket bat (stolen at the beach) and died in hospital from the force of the blow, and the ever reliable (for the offenders) “impact of his head hitting the ground”.

Multiple calls were made by the family for assistance, first from the police, then the ambulance. Police have been criticised for taking a long time to attend, however I have information from a copper mate of mine they had 3 vans out, all tasked with serious (a stabbing) or potentially serious calls (domestics)

This post is a criticism of the sentencing  judges remarks at the end of the trial. Nothing has been changed, and any comments added by myself will be clearly highlighted.
