4 men arrested in killing of moms, kids

INDIANAPOLIS – Four men were arrested Saturday in connection with the fatal shootings of a baby, a toddler and their mothers while the women held their children in their arms, police said.

Andrea Yarrell and Gina Hunt, both 24, and their children, ages 4 months and 23 months, were all shot repeatedly late Monday in their home in an attack that sparked outrage in the city.

Police said Yarrell, her 4-month-old daughter Charlii, Hunt and her 23-month-old son, Jordan, were shot multiple times in the face and torso.

OUR Nation has its own terrorists to kill. The problem, is that we don’t.

We feed them, house them, give them the tube to watch, all on taxpayer expense…..BUT heaven forbid We Kill Them.

It’s not humane, you see.

Vote of Women Propels Clinton in Nevada Caucus

LAS VEGAS — Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton won the vote in the Nevada Democratic caucuses Saturday, capturing strong support from women and Hispanics, two crucial constituencies she is relying on as she heads toward a coast-to-coast series of contests on Feb. 5.Mrs. Clinton’s victory came despite the fact that Senator Barack Obama had the backing of the state’s largest union, representing hotel and casino workers. But Mr. Obama’s strong performance in all corners of Nevada may leave him with one more delegate to the national convention than Mrs. Clinton, suggesting how the race is becoming a scramble for delegates between the two candidates, and leaving John Edwards of North Carolina, who ran a distant third, increasingly on the sidelines.

“I guess this is how the West was won,” Mrs. Clinton, of New York, told her supporters during a boisterous rally at the Planet Hollywood hotel here. Mr. Obama, for his part, did not acknowledge defeat.

Sore loser eh, Obama?

Russia Could Use Nuclear Weapons as Preventive Measure to Thwart Major Threat, Official Says

MOSCOW —  Russia’s military chief of staff said Saturday that Moscow could use nuclear weapons in preventive strikes in case of a major threat, the latest aggressive remarks from increasingly assertive Russian authorities.

“We have no plans to attack anyone, but we consider it necessary for all our partners in the world community to clearly understand … that to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Russia and its allies, military forces will be used, including preventively, including with the use of nuclear weapons,” Gen. Yuri Baluyevsky said.

The comments from the hawkish Baluyevsky did not appear to mark a policy shift for Russia, whose leaders have stressed the need to maintain a powerful nuclear deterrent and reserved the right to carry out preventive strikes to counter existential threats. But in most of their public remarks about preventive strikes, President Vladimir Putin and other officials have not specifically mentioned the use of nuclear weapons.

Baluyevsky’s remarks came at a time of increasingly strained relations between Moscow and the West, which are at odds over a range of issues and are embroiled in persistent disputes over U.S. plans for missile defense facilities in former Soviet satellite states that have joined NATO as well as alliance members’ refusal to ratify an updated European conventional arms treaty.

Canada puts US on ‘torture list’…Gosh, I Missed This One…Well all I can say is, WTF!?!

Member of US military in cell block of Guantanamo Bay prison camp

The manual refers to Guantanamo Bay where a Canadian is being held

The United States has been listed as a country where prisoners are at risk of torture in a training document produced by the Canadian foreign ministry.

It also classifies some US interrogation techniques as torture.

The manual – part of a training course on torture awareness for diplomats – also includes Israel, China, Iran and Afghanistan on its watch list.

A government spokesman said the manual did not reflect the views of Canada, which is an ally of the US and Israel.

“The training manual is not a policy document and does not reflect the views or policies of this government,” said a spokesman for Foreign Minister Maxime Bernier.
