William Butler Yeats: The Song of the Wandering Angus

“I went out to the hazel wood,
Because a fire was in my head,
And cut and peeled a hazel wand,
And hooked a berry to a thread;
And when white moths were on the wing,
And moth-like stars were flickering out,
I dropped the berry in a stream
And caught a little silver trout.

When I had laid it on the floor
I turned to blow the fire aflame,
But something rustled on the floor,
And some one called me by my name:
It had become a glimmering girl
With apple blossom in her hair
Who called me by my name and ran
And faded through the brightening air.

Though I am old with wandering
Through hollow lands and hilly lands,
I will find out where she has gone,
And kiss her lips and take her hands;
And walk among long dappled grass,
And pluck till time and times are done
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun.

I write poetry myself, but I never share it. Seriously, I have a few books worth, but it all seems so corny, shallow, and superficial next to a true master like Yeats.

Wonder why I like this particular one?

Nazi hunters seek to smoke out “Dr Death” in Chile. This would be excellent.

SANTIAGO (Reuters) – Nazi hunters are hoping to flush out the most notorious member of the Third Reich still believed to be alive, Aribert Heim, known as “Dr Death”, in southern Chile — with an advertising campaign.

Heim, who passed his 94th birthday on June 28 if he is still alive, documented the hundreds of victims he himself murdered and tortured at the Mauthausen concentration camp in Austria during World War Two.

The Nazi hunters believe he is hiding out in the Patagonia region of southern Chile, also home to his daughter.

Barack Obama’s Berlin visit sparks German diplomatic row. Leading by arrogance, that’s our Obama…

Berlin, a city torn apart by war, is the perfect setting for an American president preaching peace. Ronald Reagan famously stood metres away from the Brandenburg Gate and called on the Soviet Union to tear down the Wall dividing Europe. And President Kennedy used a Cold War visit to the once and future German capital to declare: “ich bin ein Berliner!”

Now Barack Obama, the presidential candidate, wants to grandstand there too. But a simmering row between the German Government and the local Berlin authorities could rob the Democratic politician of a photogenic moment at the Brandenburg Gate and derail his flagship tour of Europe this month.

The plan, Obama advisers have told Der Spiegel magazine, is to use the visit on July 24 to signal an imminent improvement in the transatlantic relationship.

“The Senator was criticised in the primaries for showing insufficient interest in Europe,” said the unnamed adviser. “This visit is an answer to this criticism … the memories of John F. Kennedy’s 1963 speech are still very fresh — Berlin is a bridge between East and West.”

CIA Infiltrates Iran’s Revolutionary Guard: Finds Mountains of Dirt

What do the Lockerbie Pan Am Bombing, the Lebanon Marine Corps Barracks Bombing, and the Khobar Towers Bombing have in common? Iran was behind them all.

Per “Kahlil” whose CIA code name is “Wally.” This is a real, actual undercover CIA operative we’re talking about, not some bitch like Valerie Plame, who flew a fucking desk.

“The men who ordered the destruction of the Pan Am flight over Lockerbie and the bombings of the Marine Corps barracks in Lebanon, the Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, and the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia are pursuing the nuclear program in Iran and with one goal in mind: to obtain The Bomb.

And they want to destroy you.

After the Iranian Revolution, I was an officer in the Revolutionary Guards. I was also a spy working for the CIA, code name Wally. My position in the Guards gave me access to the Khomeini regime’s deep secrets and a firsthand look at the unfolding horror: torture, rapes, executions, assassinations, suicide bombers, training of terrorists, and the transfer of arms and explosives to other countries to support terrorist attacks. I risked my life and my family’s trying to expose this regime because I believed it should be stopped. Once again I incur such risks to bring awareness that lack of action endangers the world.

In the mid-80s, I reported to the CIA that the Revolutionary Guards’ intelligence unit had information that Saddam Hussein had made a strategic decision to acquire nuclear arms. I heard this from several sources within the Guards and also in a conversation with a member of the intelligence unit, who told me that the Guards were informed through arms dealers in the black market that Saddam was desperately looking for an atomic bomb. It was then that the Guards’ commanders and Iranian leadership decided to go nuclear and actively shop for components in the black market because they made a determination that the Iran-Iraq war could not have been won without a nuclear bomb. Mohsen Rezaei, then-commander of the Revolutionary Guards, requested permission from Ayatollah Khomeini to make Iran a nuclear power. Khomeini agreed.

Some years later, while I was stationed in Europe working for the CIA, I met with three Iranian agents who were shopping for nuclear parts. The agents confirmed what I had heard through the Guards: that Hashemi Rafsanjani had promised retaliation for the downing of an Iranian civilian jet by a U.S. warship over the Persian Gulf on July 3, 1988, toward the end of the Iran-Iraq war. According to the U.S government, an inexperienced crew mistakenly identified the Iranian Airbus as an attacking F-14 fighter; 290 people were killed. The agents said it was Rafsanjani who ordered the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland on Dec. 21, 1988, which killed 270 people. They also talked about involvement of a Palestinian man and the radio transmitter that carried the bomb, information that I passed on to the CIA. I made an assessment at that time that Iran had ordered, through surrogates, the bombing of the Pan Am flight.

There was not much of a follow-up on Iran’s involvement in that incident because Rafsanjani had become the president of Iran, and my CIA contact told me to consider Rafsanjani the new king of Iran. It was apparent to me that President George H.W. Bush was going to support and trust Rafsanjani as the new ruler of Iran. He was promised cooperation and good relations by the mullahs, and the U.S. administration and the CIA in turn were convinced that the mullahs were open to a new chapter in Iran-U.S relations.

I believed then, as I do now, that the mullahs would never abandon their ambitions, and that after 29 years of negotiations by Europe and world powers, the world has yet to understand that the mullahs will not change direction or behavior. In the early ’90s, the senior Bush administration and the CIA finally realized they were being duped — the mullahs’ promises never materialized. The CIA asked me to look for an Iranian who could testify that Iran was in the process of making a nuclear bomb. That request was later withdrawn.

Iran remains the main sponsor of terrorism around the world. Iranian consulates, embassies, airlines, and shipping line offices are the main hub for terrorist activities. Money, arms, and explosives are transferred through these centers to fund terrorist groups and jihadists. Quds Force units of the Revolutionary Guards use the Iranian consulates as their command and control centers to plan and carry out assassinations, kidnappings, and terrorist activities. The mullahs even transferred money and arms in state visits using their high-ranking officials, knowing full well that because of diplomatic immunity they would not be subject to search during such visits. As I reported to the CIA, these activities were closely coordinated through Iran’s foreign ministry, the ministry of intelligence, and the Revolutionary Guards.”

I fucking double-dog dare any terrorist-loving leftard to read the whole enchelada. It’s three pages of detailed history, which I’m sure is too much for any 25 IQ leftard moron to process.

We should have bombed Iran years ago, or assassinated all of its “leaders.”

Surprising Sight At Federation Square

Last Friday I was on an adventure in Melbourne City. It was the Fourth of July, and that fact is very relevant.

I was walking along Flinders St Station, about to cross over to the trams in the middle of the road between Federation Square and the Station, when I spied something I never thought I’d see at Federation Square, owing to the fact that it’s the base of the SBS TV station (often referred to as the Socialist Broadcasting System), and houses a bunch of Arts-focused organisations.

Here’s what I observed:

Iranian president says no war with US, Israel…BUT THEN…read the update. These are Obama type people..

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday that he sees no possibility of a war between his country and the United States or Israel. He also predicted Israel would collapse without Iranian action.

“I assure you that there won’t be any war in the future,” Ahmadinejad told a news conference during a visit to Malaysia for a summit of developing Muslim nations.

The Israelis “are a complex political group, but you should know this regime will be eventually destroyed and there is no need of any measure by Iranian people,” he said when asked to comment on whether he has called for the destruction of Israel.

Ahmadinejad’s comments came a day after Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said the country would retaliate against any military strike by targeting Tel Aviv and U.S. warships in the Gulf.

Iranian officials have been issuing a mix of conciliatory and bellicose statements in recent weeks about the possibility of a clash with the U.S. and Israel.

BUT

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP’s earlier story is below.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP)—Israel and U.S. naval forces in the Persian Gulf would be among Iran’s first targets if it comes under attack, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards warned as they began a military exercise.

The Web site of the elite Iranian force posted a statement late Monday quoting guard official Ali Shirazi as saying that Iran would retaliate against any military strike by targeting Tel Aviv and U.S. warships in the Gulf.

“The Zionist regime is pushing the White House to prepare for a military strike on Iran,” Shirazi was quoted as saying.

“If such a stupidity is done by them, Tel Aviv and the U.S. naval fleet in the Persian Gulf will be the first targets which will be set on fire in Iran’s crushing response.”

Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev would not comment on Shirazi’s warning other than to say “his words speak for themselves.”

Israel’s military sent warplanes over the eastern Mediterranean for a large military exercise in June that U.S. officials described as a possible rehearsal for a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, which the West fears are aimed at producing atomic weapons.

The U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet, headquartered in the Persian Gulf nation of Bahrain, is responsible for patrolling the Gulf, the Suez Canal and parts of the Indian Ocean.

Shirazi is a cleric who represents supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in the guards’ naval force. Khamenei has the final say over all state matters.

The Guards’ Web site also announced the military drill, which it said involved “missile squads,” but did not say where it was taking place.

Iran’s guards and national army hold regular exercises two or three times a year, but the statement did not say whether this drill was one of them or if it was a special exercise.

The Native American Indian…called this, “Speaking with Forked Tongue”. Obama, is a PRO at this. That’s why he wants to “doubletalk” with these Persians.

Looking For Lerve In Online Places.

Okay, some of my readers know me rather well in the real world rather than just online, and would be aware that one of my amusements is prowling through the online dating sites to see what’s out there.

We’ve got RSVP here in Oz, for example, which is one of the more well known ones.

I’ve been known to post the occasional profile just to see what happens, and have even made friends from those.

I’ve been on dates with men I’ve met online, and it can be just like going on a date with some bloke you’ve met at the pub or at work. You still don’t get to find out if he’s an axe-wielding psycho until you’ve been out a few times irrespective of where you meet him.

But wait! What’s that? There’s a new slew of dating sites for me to trawl through?

I have discovered one of the ultimate……

VEGGIELOVE!!!!!

Here is an absolute treasure trove of luvvies and moonbats looking for lerve.

Now before anyone starts slinging muck my way for my comments, I’ve been known to haunt places like Military Friends to indulge in my own slight fetish for men in uniform, and have been copping a regular caning from mates for years over this.

I have a thick skin, and while I don’t need to post any of the ads, you can go check them out for yourself.

Be warned, one fellow calls himself Running Bear. At his age, he should know better.

Melbourne Has Wicked Cool Train Sets

You know a train set is fucking cool when it requires 12,000mV to operate, is as big as a room and took 12 people two years to build.

And that’s what I went and saw today, down at Emerald Lake Park.

Here’s a quick video of about half the train set:

Needless to say, the kid in me just wanted to sit down and play!

This train set has more than you can possibly imagine. It has a couple of working Ferris Wheels, a church with a working bell, a mining site, a foxhunt, a car crash, a chair lift, an oil refinery, a school complete with Australian flag, and even a flaming building. It’s very cool. And now for some train-snaps:

Afghans blame foreign agents for car bomb…Well lemme see, tiz either the Rugmakers or the Paki’s

Oh SHIT…There go all my “Atta Boys”. This has to be as bad as “Yuk”.

The Afghan government blamed a regional intelligence agency for a suicide bomb blast at the Indian embassy in Kabul on Monday that killed at least 41 people, including two senior Indian diplomats, and injured 139 others.

While no one claimed immediate responsibility for the blast, the interior ministry said it believed the attack “was carried out in co-ordination and consultation with an active intelligence service in the region”.

‘Messiah’ sentenced to 11 years behind bars. Keeyrist. For a moment I thought the Ruskies got Obama.

‘Messiah’ sentenced to 11 years behind bars
A Moscow court has sentenced a self-proclaimed psychic who said he was capable of resurrecting the dead to 11 years in prison. Grigory Grabovoy was taking money from parents of children killed in the Beslan school siege of 2004 in exchange for promises to bring their children back to life.

Grigory Grabovoy has been found guilty of all eleven occasions of fraud, following a tense day at the court.

First, there was a delay as a large number of Grabovoy’s supporters arrived, some of them carrying flowers.

Then a suspicious package was found outside the court building and everyone was evacuated. The bomb squad arrived at the scene only to say that the package was not dangerous.

After that the hearings continued.

The path of the ’messiah’

Grabovoy first came to the attention of law enforcement agencies in 2001. The Prosecutor’s Office says it was then that he established a cult and began to spread his teachings. He claimed to be able to cure cancer and AIDS and even resurrect the dead at the request of clients.

Grabovoy was said to have charged up to $US 2,000 for his services.

The skills he advertised found a particularly ready market after Russia was hit by one of its most horrific tragedies of the last ten years – the Beslan school siege of 2004, when a group of armed rebels took more than 1,000 people hostage in the country’s republic of North Ossetia. The outrage left more than 300 people dead, including 186 children.

The parents of some are said to have emptied their pockets, hoping that Grabovoy could work a miracle and bring their children back to life. Authorities say Grabovoy preyed on the feelings of mothers whose children died in the siege.

He was arrested two years ago, as he was giving a seminar in one of Moscow’s hotels. Followers watched in shock, as the self-proclaimed Messiah was rushed off by police.

In June 2006, Grabovoy was charged with eleven counts of fraud, but his lawyer Vyacheslav Makarov says the charges were just a face-saving gesture by the prosecution.

“Moscow’s former deputy prosecutor announced that a criminal case had been opened against Grabovoy in connection with the so-called ‘resurrection’ of the Beslan children. However, a letter from the Beslan Mothers’ Committee claimed that no money had changed hands. So I think that these charges of fraud are just the prosecution’s attempt to justify its actions and prove that Grabovoy had been rightly charged,” Makarov said.

Grabovoy will now spend the next 11 years behind bars.
